Chapter 53

"Now that we have all enjoyed this pleasant conversation, Cyrus, please come inside and get rid of the spider before it disappears," Amelia practically pulled Cyrus inside of her bedroom and slammed the door shut. "That was annoying," she sighed.

"Thank you but I'm afraid you've pissed him off more by mentioning his daughter."

"I don't care. I would love to know why he was so close to my room when there is no business for him on this side of the castle. Why is he even here? Doesn't he have a home? I'd hate to find out my father has his followers living in the castle now," said Amelia.

"There is something important we need to discuss. I've been down to the dungeon and spoke with the northerners your father captured. They are too quiet as if they are waiting for something, Amelia. I promise you those men are skilled enough to escape. Why did you return from town so soon? Did you see anything?" Cyrus had to know as her answer would change everything.
