Chapter 20

Rue POV

Weeks went by, Rebecca and Michael are settling in just fine. I was able to expand my business, and my she-devil of an ex-boss's auto shop. All of my former coworkers came to work for me, I only hired the good ones. I finally got a receptionist from my pack, her name is Kira. She is nice and respectable on the phone, but hates people. My family and I celebrated, but I couldn't drink because I had an upset stomach. We all brushed it off, thinking of the stress and the possibility that I ate something bad is causing my upset stomach.

I am helping my twin and Leslie with the nursery, decorating is easy, just putting the toys together is a little difficult. I thought, since I was a mechanic, I would be able to put together a fucking child's toy. We had no choice but to call the professionals who would do it for love and for free, Granddad, and Dad. Granddad and Dad put the toys together in five minutes. Dad gave me a death glare and flicked me on the forehead when they were finished. "A damned mechanic, and you can't put together a damned toy," he growled. His phone rang, and when he answered it, I can hear Mom screeching at him to stop picking on her babies. I can hear her yelling how he had problems putting together toys when we were babies, and how he called Granddad to help put together the toys. I am taking Mom to doctor visits whenever Dad was at work. She started to notice that my hair was shiny, I am starting to eat a little more, and my skin was glowing. I just brushed it off as I focused on my growing family and my business. My breasts were getting bigger, or least I thought they were. For some reason, my breasts were feeling sensitive. I started craving more fruit, ice cream, pickles, and ice. I had to stop myself from eating chalk, Joshua doesn't know about that. Likewise, I figured that I was stress-eating, and need some calcium. Furthermore, I know that I am not pregnant since I am on the pill. I have not missed a day, and I paid good money for my birth control.

A couple of months go by, and for some reason, I would feel sharp pains in my back. Joshua had to give me regular massages, which I love because he has magical hands. His massages always leads us to massages from me, and lovemaking. I brushed off the back pains as working too hard. It seems like I have been gaining weight, it seems that I feel a little heavier. When I shared my concerns with everyone, they figured that it was probably stress. I went jogging with Joshua, and I started to eat healthy. He started to eat healthy with me to support me. Joshua noticed that I was sleeping a lot lately, and made me take a few days off.

The Sixth Month

It is late at night, and I am sleeping next to Joshua when I feel a sharp pain in my stomach. I feel something coming out of me. One push, and it slid out, waking me up to something wet. Joshua woke up abruptly, turning on the light. "Baby, I smell blood, are you okay?" he asked. He ripped off the blanket, and in our horror, our newborn son. I quickly scooped him up, gently slapped his back, and he started crying. I had to pop Joshua in the mouth because he was in shock. He ran to call our family. My family arrived in eight minutes. Mom brought my baby sister, Maria, and Leslie brought my baby niece, Jasmine. Mom and Grandma helped clean me and the baby up. JJ and Dad had cleaned up the mess. When I gave Joshua our son, he started to cry happy tears. "This is our son, Josiah. He is so beautiful," he said as he wrapped Josiah in a towel. He called his cousins, and they were squealing in happiness. They sent over a crib and baby necessities, their son Xavier was getting too big for his crib. We were all shocked when we saw Xavier for the first time. Did she have a baby with a giant? My mom checked Josiah over, and determined that he looked healthy. We agreed to take Josiah to the hospital to officially check him out. Five hours later, the doctor had given my sweet boy the okay. When we went home, we quickly prepared a room for him. Mom complained that Josiah sleeps way too much for a baby, but for me, it is a blessing. As soon as I laid my sleeping boy, he looked so much like an angel.

Joshua POV

The smell of blood is what woke me up. My first thought was Rue was hurt, and my heart stopped. I turned on the light, ripped away the covers. What shocked me to the core is that Rue just gave birth. I should have had her checked by a doctor, my main concern is my family's health. I know that Rue had stopped drinking a while ago, but she has been doing some heavy-lifting. The doctor told us that my wife's back pains were actually Josiah's kicks. I am more shocked and amazed at Rue's pain tolerance. Victoria's labor was thirty hours of hell, and she almost broke my hand in the process. I am so glad that I am invulnerable, and immortal. Xavier had to be a cesarean section baby, because he was so fucking big. Was the sperm donor a titan? I was glad that they did the procedure, I can't even imagine Victoria trying to pass Xavier through her kitty. She may be a big girl, but Xavier would have put her in a wheelchair. I can never imagine my mate going through the procedure. There is a reason why I never became a doctor. Now I have a wife and a child to take care of.
