Bulhaeng

"A blade forged of metal from the core of the earth." A loud clanking sound echoed through the lava filled room, "Folded a million times and sharpened to absolute perfection, my single greatest creation. Bulhaeng." The woman stood infront of a sword, its blade still glowing bright red.

Jae Yoon looked at the sword, his eyes fixated on the red glow, "Bulhaeng."

"You requested for a sword so sharp and strong it could pierce through the fabric of time and space and alter the future." Jade picked up the still hot sword from the handle, its hilt resembling a coin, "The Misfortune." She swung the blade downwards, cutting through the anvil she had crafted the blade on like a hot knife through butter.

Jae Yoon took the blade off Jade, "A sword strong enough to break time and space?" Jae Yoon lifted the sword, a large ray of blue light swirled around the blade, "Royal Flush." As he hurled the sword downwards, the supersonic sound of the blade cutting through the air at unparalleled speeds screeched out, breaking any glass objects in the near vicinity. As soon as the tip of the blade made contact with the iron floor, a bright white flash filled the room, along with smoke.

"What the hell happened?" Jade coughed and fanned the smoke away from her face, "If anything here breaks its your fau-"

Jae Yoon's feet created a crater on the iron floor, trying to keep him rooted while he swung the sword. The entire half of the workshop had been cut open from a single swing from Jae Yoon. The metal the floor was made of and the walls were glowing bright red from the friction the blade created while going at such a fast speed, "You weren't kidding." Jae Yoon chuckled nervously, he had used all of his magic in a single swing, the veins in his arms popping out and the muscles on him arm were bulging. The sleeve from his suit were torn and shredded to bits from the pure magic the blade exerted.

"You're gonna repay for all the damages here, and that blade too, I'm not doing no charity work." Jade told Jae Yoon.

"You'll be paid handsomely." Jae Yoon had a smirk on his face, he had never used a blade this strong and menacing.

-----Scene 2-----

"Congratulations to all first years who have successfully passed through the first 2 trials. All of you will be rewarded with a guaranteed C rank license. A C rank license allows you to join guilds, take quests and fight in dungeon raids. You can say a C rank license is the minimum a proper sorcerer should have. As for the third trial, there will be a tournament, dwindling down the 32 students to 1 singular student who will be rewarded with an A rank license and an orb of revelation." The principle spoke over the announcements.

"We're already at the final trial huh." Lin sat down on a bench with Jasper sitting next to him, "Let's hope we don't fight one another."

"For the record, I'd completely destroy you." Jasper chuckled.

"Hey guys, they released the brackets for the first match." Anais approached the two.

"Who's fighting first?" Jasper got up.

"You're going first." Anais laughed, "Try not to get killed in there! I'm going first in the second half."

"Try not to get killed huh," Jasper clutched a locket which hung around his neck.

-----Scene 3-----

"Ignotus?" Nana was inside the cave where she had first found Ignotus, "Are you alright?"

"Nana," Ignotus appeared behind Nana.

"There you are!" Nana ran towards Ignotus, "I have so many questions for you." Nana wrapped her arms around Ignotus, giving him a hug.

Ignotus was frightened at first, afraid Nana would unintentionally hurt him. Cracks ran through Ignotus' entire body. Ignotus embraced Nana.

"What's wrong with the book?" Nana asked.

"I don't know Nana, it's been attacked by a foreign force. The content of the pages have been ripped out and the prophecy included." Ignotus had a worried look on his face, "Without those pages, Nana, I'm afraid the prophecy can't be fulfilled."

Nana took out the book from her robe's pocket, small pieces of paper falling out, "I've managed to salvage most of the book." She flipped open the book infront of Ignotus, the book shining brightly and releasing a ray of light, knocking Ignotus over and falling down to the ground.

"Augh!" Ignotus cried out

"Ignotus!" Nana quickly closed the book and came to Ignotus's help, "You alright?"

"That book...I am no longer am bound to it." Ignotus had his hand up to the left side of his face, "I'm afraid that grimoire is no longer usable, it's a danger to its user and their surroundings." Ignotus let go of his hand and revealed the entire left side of his face had completely been destroyed and crumbled.

-----Scene 4-----

"Who the hell is Lucia? I don't remember her in any of my classes." Jasper looked at the tournament chart, only the first bracket had been filled in, Jasper Yean and Lucia Heartfelt.

"Whoever this Lucia chick is, you're going to have to beat her ass if you want to progress." Lin scoffed, "Imagine getting beat by a girl."

Anais came over and flicked Lin's forehead, "Sexist much."

"C'mon guys, enough. Anais, do you know Lucia?" Jasper looked at Anais.

"Hmm... Her name sounds familiar. I'm pretty sure Heartfelt is a pretty famous clan in Laefter, I'm not sure, I don't come from Laefter." Anais scratched his head, "I think I have a class with Lucia in potion making."

"The match starts in a minute, you've got plenty of preparation. Remember, if you're on fire just stop, drop then roll." Lin said sarcastically, placing his arm on Jasper's shoulder.

"Funny you say that. I just remembered, the Heartfelts are notorious for their fire magic, she's pretty hot." Anais joked.

"You guys are really, really helpful." Jasper walked past the of them, into the preparation room.

"You ready Jasper?" Magi approached Jasper, he too was in the preparation room.

"As ready as I'll ever be." Jasper said as he put on his boots, "Fire magic." He said to himself.

"Would Jasper Yean and Lucia Heartfelt please enter the stage now!" The principle said over the announcements.

Jasper climbed up the stairs from the preparation room on stage, the bright glaring lights shining in his face. The stage floor was made of a hard concrete, with a short layer of sand ontop of the concrete, Jasper was already analysing his surroundings and the things he could use to give himself an advantage.

"Good to see you, Mr Yean." Lucia walked up from the stairs from her own preparation room, onto the stage.

"If you guys could, please step into the red circle." There was a man refereeing the match. He wore a white shirt with black stripes and had a whistle around his neck, "Once both parties step into the red circle, the 3 second count down will begin. There are only 4 rules: First, in order to win, you must either knock out your opponent or make them concede. Secondly, stepping out of the red circle is also considered conceding, thus the opposing party will be the winner. Thirdly, killing the opposing party results in immediate expulsion and revoking of your license. Lastly, there is to be no foreign weapons that has not been allowed from the school. Those are the 4 rules, besides them, by all means, do anything you want."

Jasper cracked his knuckles and cracked his neck, taking a step into the red circle.

"Don't get nervous on me, Jasper." Lucia had a smirk on her face, as if she was hiding something. Lucia took a step into the circle.

"3... 2... 1... GO!" The referee blew his whistle, officially starting the Tournament.
