The following days, Astreia stood in bed, half asleep and half crying in Az'rune's arms.
She feared that her sister could ruin everything she had love to, including her brother and soon-to-be husband. Her will was strongly struggling of fear.
She didn't go anywhere in days, and that was slowly preoccupying the Guardians and the people, as the cities and towns were slowly becoming bigger and needed guidance.
Az'rune pitied Astreia, as he really knew what his sister was planning. He couldn't help but think in a way she can live happily without having to worry.
With the Guardians basement already finished, he decided to create his own Temple, where he could teach how to control dark magic as himself had.
That way, his only focus was Astreia and her wellness.
He talked to Astreia and she was decided to do the same and go ahead with the creation of her own Temple. She thought of thinking others how to use the magic they were given to a good purpose.
She soon started to wander around the palace, letting the people know she was fine.
Az'rune was all the time with her, making her soon-to-be wife feel safe.
One day, they were walking through the local marketplace near the Palace, when they were stopped by a small black fairy.
—Lady Astreia, it's finally a pleasure to meet you. I'm Lynn, Az'rune's High Priestess.
—Greetings, Lynn.
—I wanted to tell you that I'm at your disposal, Your Grace. —Lynn looked curious at Az'rune's arms, surrounding his sister and she smiled—.
—I know, thanks for your help, Lynn.
—The pleasure is mine, lady Astreia. —Lynn greeted her with a bow—. Lord Az'rune. —Another bow—.
Passing away the small marketplace, a black glimpse catched Astreia's attention, and she walked to the glimpse just to admire a little obsidian necklace made in gold.
The shop attendant was willing to give the present to Astreia, as she was mesmerized by the beauty in the necklace itself. So, the attendant made the necklace levitate to her hands.
—This little necklace will obviously be yours, Your Grace. It was made with the purest obsidian you'll ever find. It has to be yours, milady.
—I cannot simply accept it, let me give something in return. —Astreia materialized a small amount of gold in her hand, willing to give it to the assistant.
—I insist, Your Grace. You will be beautiful with this present. I do not need gold or silver, I just need the people's happiness.
—If you insist, I will just let the gold there. It's your decision to accept or reject it. Thank you for the necklace. —Astreia gave a small head bow—.
As soon as Astreia continued walking, Az'rune followed her by the marketplace to their Palace.
They both went to the enormous room where the wedding's banquet would be offered.
Everything was almost finished, and the room was mesmerizing to the eye.
—Do you remember it, right? —Astreia whispered—.
—I do know, my love, that our wedding is in two days. And I also do know that we are already married, Astreia. —Az'rune spoke gently to Astreia, hugging her— You have nothing to fear about.
—And what will we do with our sister? I'm just paranoid about it, and I know she isn't awake… Yet.
—My dear Astreia, don't you dare think about that.
—But Rune… —Astreia moaned— I cannot simply reject that Neesa is trying to escape.
—Let the Void rest. She can't do anything to you, darling. Now, take a deep breath, my love. Everything is gonna be alright.
