The side of the ship erupted into splinters, the thousands of small particles of wood scattering over the deck, fire poured through the wooden body, its burning gaze pressed scalding air against the crew as they struggled to stand, the brilliant blazing inferno, its spiralling and cascading bursting up as the flames torching over the sides. The raging fire sprayed with oil.
Mahon's ear was pulled from his head as Cel dragged him up, a small sword jabbed into his chest, the scabbard slapping his skin.
"C'mon mister unkillable,"
Mahon had been resting on one side of the ship close to the attack. His slow body felt like it was being dragged to the floor as he was pulled along.
He picked himself up to be kicked in the back. A small boot shoving into his spine, the leather thrusting him into the flames, his small body tumbling through the furnace like heat pushing onto a different boat. The sword clattering behind him.
As he spread his hands out pushing up from the deck, his gaze was met with around 20 huge men, their biceps barely covered by thin armour. Huge bald heads covered with scars. Their burly figures widened. Mahon's hand tightened around the blade, the small leather strap peeling away to see the blazed steel, the horrible red reflecting back in his eyes.
The first one charged at him, the brutish swing bringing back memories. Its towering power almost crushing Mahon entirely, his feet kicking into the back of the boat, slamming his back through the wooden guard. The flickering embers drifting across his clothes. Reaching back, he pushed forward, his body slipping underneath the huge man, his arms again pulling him upwards, his body twisting around and grabbing the neck. The knife curling into the man's neck, ripping through the skin. The next one had an axe, the long shaft pulled through Mahon's arm tearing the limb from his body, the blood splattered over the deck, the growing crowd of soldiers circling around him. Mahon pulled the heaping man aside, his teeth sinking into the piles of fat and muscle. Blood oozing into his mouth and filling his body, with that his arm sprouted out of the bleeding stump, the naked skin rippling and shining in the moonlight. Then, dragging the huge club over his shoulder, he moved towards the terrified men.
Swiftly, an even bigger man pushed past the freaked out people, his towering figure seemed like he could tower over anyone.
"What… what in Hades' puppy collection are you meant to be?"
"Me? I'm just someone you woke up, I really do hate the heat, you know."
Mahon jumped through the air, his body stabbed through the chest by a sword, blood streaming down his legs and dripping to the deck, its pine planks flooded with a thick crimson pool. Its scarlet liquid reflecting back the flames.
"You cannot regenerate if I keep stabbing you, hahaha"
The men laughed as Mahon hung, his body seemed limp and lifeless, through the raucous bellows of the men Mahon's smile radiated outwards, subtly leaking unease.
"Oh please, the most deadly thing here is your odour, I admit this is painful but only because your armpit is open. And your mouth keeps spraying me with that awful stench, allow me to close it for you."
Mahon's arms sprang over the huge club barely making it over his head, the colossal chunks of wood falling over to the man, his brutish head crushed by the club.
Mahon's body clattered to the floor, letting him stand up.
Dragging the sword out with a flush of blood, he stared up at the giants, each one towering over him. However, as he ripped the flesh from their leader each and every one of the men felt the strange overpowering sensation, the same feeling they had when they stared at a bear, or a lion circling its prey, the huge body towering over them as they stared back at the beast.
"That's better, now who's next?"
