You Owe Me New Clothes

The bodies slumped at the stern of the ship, their bluing skin like a sheet placed over their skin, the colourless blood addled faces. Mahon's body too slumped above them, the thinly covered chest puffing in and out with force as his breath exploded from his lungs. Blood soaking down his mouth, the huge white teeth sticking through the devoured pools of blood. The broken debris of weapons surrounding Mahon like shattered glass, reflecting the moon as it disappeared through clouds.

The poured from the clouds, the pounding crushing water slipping down Mahon's body, soaking the blood from his face and extinguishing the fires, through the hazy steam of the charred ship jumped dozens of people, yelling and shouting, their loud voices simmering into bewildered confusion as they stared at the lone man, soaked in rain and blood.

"Holy… you are unkillable." Cel pushed past everyone, her hair wet from the rain, running straight down her shoulders. The vibrant clothes clung to her skin as it wrapped around.

"You didn't know that when you pushed me?"

"Well… I figured you were just a good fighter, but this is…" Mahon pushed past her.

"Well, I suppose it doesn't matter either way. You owe me new clothes."

Mahon jumped onto the first ship, the blackened wood crumbling at his feet, it felt like the side of the ship could give way. Whipping away the dusty remains of his blanket, he laid down in the waterlogged deck, his head pushing into his arm.
