Glory in my Redeemer

The two men stood side by side, the blue light pouring from its bleeding mouth seemed to outshine the sun. Its looming light splashing over their faces. The two of them staring back, the air thick with magic pressed down on their shoulders.

Leonidas gripped his spear, the huge pole arm glinting blue in the new sun. Seraphiel pushed past, his hand drifting over the long handle, the world's whispering out like an incantation.

"Bring me my spear, O clouds, unfold." His beautiful voice resonating through the abandoned and bare mountains, the low slightly rasped voice crackling out the words seemed to float to the spear, its head glowing and burning the same golden colour. Its heat made Leonidas' face run with sweat, his leathery skin dripping with beads of sweat.

Seraphiel drew the sword. His body glowing and burning a bright angelic red, his wings erupting into fire the lightning springing from his back and crashing into the ground. The mass of plasma running up the sword, pouring energy throughout the thin blade.

"Hark, the heralds angels sing! Glory to the newborn king." a ring of fire flashed around his head, blazing and glowing like a crown his body flooded with heat, almost making his skin glow.

Seraphiel pushed against the ground, his legs crashing into the land underneath as if he would push the entire mountain backwards, his wings lowering and pushing off, his body flashing through the sky, like something never seen before. The Huge streak of light reaching the dragon in an instant, its talons crashing down on the holy mass of light, the three claws slamming into the sword "Gloria in excelsis deo!" The words echoed across the mountains, slicing through the dragon's hand, bursting free and sparkling in the daylight. His beautiful white light shining more brilliantly and brightly than the sun and the fire combined. The elegant, unobtrusive showers luminance spreading across the land. Seraphiel's hands joined on the sword, his wings flashing back and pushing him to the ground, the wind smashing against his face as he sliced through air and then the right wing. A huge sword forming out of the light, growing from the jaws of his sword, piercing through the flesh and carving through the dragon.

However, through that second that he was open, the dragon opened its jaws, barely able to stay in the air. The blue fire spilling out and bursting into a giant inferno, the fire swirling and spinning around like a tornado of blazing sapphire. Seraphiel snapped his fingers and the fire disappeared. Silence echoing through the valley.

However, through the extinguishing flames he saw teeth, huge teeth. The giant chunks of rock like enamel crafted into canines, snapping down with the force to snap through steel. The crushing intensity of the snapping jaw pulling air down and trapping Seraphiel.

However, as the giant monster closed its mouth around the angel, its huge mouth enrapturing him again. A bolt of light arched through the air, the spear slamming into the body of the dragon, pushing the reptile back. Its scales burning a bright orange as it was knocked away from Seraphiel whose wings flapped a final time the glory of the wings increased the light burning out as they flashed forward. His arms tucked in as he pushed through the sky, his body practically erupting into flames, the flesh peeling off as he pushed forward stabbing through the charred remains of scales.

"Before the holy Judge, who crushed the power of sin and death, glory in my Redeemer"

The subtle words sung through the silent sky, the one second before the sky erupted into a ball of light, the dragon's body disintegrated and decimated under the intense heat.

The sky seemed to burn under the huge pressure.
