In the evening, I managed to invite Jeff and his brother to the garden. Luckily they honored my invitation. We were still standing when I began to talk to them.

.... Jeff and Derrick. I'm sorry if I've ever offended any of you. There's something I want us to discuss.

I said that you can't just invite us here to have fun. What is it that you want us to hear? Just make it brief, I'll like to play ball in the next twenty or thirty minutes... Derrick couldn't even allow me to introduce the topic of discussion before he intruded. We walked to a place where I already arranged three plastic chairs for us. We all sat then I continued.

.. Brothers, the reason why Dave has been coming closer to us is because of me. He wants me to date him and I don't know how to answer him.

Jessy, I don't know you as a liar and I don't want you to lie to me. You already agreed to date him and that's why he took us to the eatery to celebrate earlier today... Jeff replied in a fury.

Calm down, Derrick. It's not like I did it without informing Jeff. But he didn't tell me to quit... I continued addressing Derrick in a soft tone to calm the situation.

Well, I've told him yes just as your brother, Jeff said. I called you people here to settle the issue between Jeff and Dave...

Oh, he already told you that we're having issues because of you but couldn't tell you when I told him to take his filthy game out of my family and my loved ones? Jeff said as he got up from his chair. It was like he couldn't present himself better if he continued seating down. I was the only one still sitting. I also stood up.

Jeff, he didn't tell me but I was standing in front of your door when you were discussing with him via phone call. I overheard your conversation with him and I knew there was a problem already. I replied Jeff

Yeah, there's a problem. The boy in question that's Dave is a smoker. And I know some of his secrets which I won't want you to mingle with someone that has such characters. I thought you won't accept him but it's obvious you already said yes. Jeff responded to me displaying much concern about my well-being.

I couldn't imagine myself hearing something like that from Jeff. Though he told me earlier that Dave has a questionable character but refused to uncover the particular character to me. I became weak and speechless. For a few seconds, everyone was silent.

... But I met I did discuss it with you as a brother thinking that you'll help me out. Then you refused to say something tangible. What do you expect me to do now? ... I questioned Jeff with such an undertone as I broke the silence.

Bro, if what she just said is true, you're the cause of everything and we don't have to blame Jessy. Derrick said while looking at his brother

Derrick, don't dare say that again. She has to make her choice...

If so why are we blaming her so far that's her choice

I was surprised to hear such words from Derrick. His words weakened his brother that he had nothing to reply to him

Jeff, I don't want you and Derrick to see me as an outsider. Let the bonds between us keep on waxing stronger. If Dave will be the problem, I will try my best to cut off from him. I continued to utter my words in a way to calm the situation

That's impossible, Dave can't let go of you just like that... Derrick then said in a friendly voice

Derrick, what do you mean by that? Jessy, try and end that relationship.

I'll try but I don't want it to bring misunderstanding between you and anyone not even myself. I like the way we relate with each other.

Better.....Jeff concluded

I noticed he was smiling once again. All of us then sat down again

... Wait ooo, Jeff you knew what was happening and also knew you'll get angry unnecessarily but still drank the wine Dave bought with his money and even ate food he bought just for you to come back and be raging for Jessy. What exactly do you want me to think you're?

Respect yourself, Derrick. this is not a time for your dry jokes... Jeff and his brother started joking about what just happened between us.

I also pleaded with them not to let any other person know. Derrick assured me that he'll make it a secret but to be sincere I'm scared because he may still discuss it where he's not supposed to.

Thank God at least I now know what's exactly on their mind. And also how they do think. It's not my obligation to know how to follow the relationship if I may continue. But despite everything, I'll still see some interesting things about Dave that even draw me closer to him.

That's not a problem anyway. There must be a way out. I concluded.

We all went back to the house and they went to play football.

I was alone in the sitting room just operating my phone when I got a message from Dave

... Babe can I call you now? I wish to hear your voice.

Hia!!!! Is this really how Dave wants us to do the dating? This is not just funny. We were together this morning. Now he wants to hear my voice why not chat with me? I'm still struggling to settle what I may term fracas that happened between me and my brothers because of Dave, now he wants to still hear my voice. This young man is demanding what he can't have. Just for me to forward the message then madam Ruth came to remind me that it's time to prepare dinner since we'll be preparing native food. I had no choice but to follow Madam Ruth to the kitchen. A few seconds in the kitchen, I received another message from Dave
