The past few months has been hell for Rose.
When she came back to the orphanage, they had refused to take her in.
She pleaded and pleaded but couldn't move their stone hearts.
They were the same people she worked her ass off to send money to every week and month.
She did all sort of menial jobs for the Agrestes to support her family (the orphanage) in every possible way.
She did everything she could.
Did everything expected of her.
She did all she was asked to.
In the end she dragged her weak body out of the orphanage.
She phoned her only reliable friend. If she had her way, she wouldn't have called him but she was out of option and sleeping on the streets was never an option.
She spoke to him and hung up the call.
He had instructed her to wait at the food stall opposite the orphanage.
She didn't have to wait for long when she saw him running towards the orphanage.
It was dark but she could still make out his figure .
They grew up in the orphanage together.
Ever since they were toddlers, they were inseparable.
They've liked and eventually loved each other but she wasn't ready to start a relationship.
Though he promised to wait until she was ready, she wasn't so sure about them anymore.
She know she could count on him at all times.
He gave her the biggest hug she's ever received from anybody and took her home.
He didn't bother her with questions about the Agrestes till today.
They'd lived comfortably until they found out she was pregnant.
It wasn't Everest's baby as they never crossed the border line.
It could only belong to one man and now they just sent her an envelope attached to a bag.
She just received a letter in the mail inviting her to the open garden feast at the Agrestes old villa.
The place she once was called home and Everest wasn't having it.
Ever since Rose came to live with him, he didn't bother to dig into her past.
He gave her peace and comfort.
He did all he could to make her happy.
He had promised to wait for her but time waits for no one.
He planned on proposing to her on Christmas but couldn't anymore.
They found out she was pregnant last month.
The doctor confirmed she was three months in and this is the fourth month.
He felt betrayed.
He was angry at himself.
He lost his love for Rose.
Why did she made him wait while she does things behind his back?
He was gonna ask her to leave when they received the mail.
He wasn't happy with the invitation but Rose persisted on going.
She wanted to see Norah and grandmother again.
She'd missed them so much and wouldn't miss the opportunity to see them again.
"Fine but we're only staying until dark, Favour's coming tonight " Everest spoke.
Rose felt weak.
Ever since her pregnancy news, he's been avoiding her and worst of all, he started dating.
She wasn't the one to judge but she'd hope he would forgive her and want her back.
He didn't.
He would proudly show her photos of his new girlfriend anytime he gets the opportunity to.
He would sing her name everyday.
He would call her before and after work.
He would call her all night long and she would crawl into her skin in pain.
She had wanted to grow up and date someone she loves and maybe marry him.
Everest would tell her it wasn't too late to date someone but she knows no one would want to date her, at least not someone in her condition.
She wasn't too pretty before and now this pregnancy had ruined her whole life.
She's gotten fatter with chubby cheeks and bubbly stomach.
Her stomach was rather too big compared to the rest of her body, but she must confess, she's added weight on the hips.
The feast wasn't until late evening, so she has enough time to prepare herself a nice meal.
