Liam returned to the place he had seen the tentacles and continued his observations.
In his estimation, the creature was as big or bigger than Nio, but the creature seemed to have the drawback of being an aquatic creature, that couldn't come out of the water. Still, it looked strong. He didn't dare provoke the creature but he was curious if the creature had intelligence like Nio.
"You broke your word!" Nios accusing word assaulted Liam as he was getting closer to the tree.
"What word?" he asked as he couldn't remember what Nio was talking about.
"You said you'd leave after a week!"
"Ahh! That... I'm sorry. I'm waiting for something and I would rather be in a relatively safe place once it happens," Liam flinched at that moment and a sudden strong gust of wind passed through the tree, which made it move, "I'm sorry Nio, it's coming. Once you see it, try your best to stay calm," Liam's voice had turned serene.
Nio looked at Liam as he apologized and saw the massive flinch. His whole body had somehow jumped without actually doing that. Then, if he could, he'd frown, as a strong wind had never touched the tree in his life. What was going on?
The words Liam spoke then, made him anticipate some disaster.
He looked around but didn't see anything. Then he spread his sense and couldn't feel anything either. But as he looked at Liam under the tree, who was facing in a specific direction. He was standing straight, ready, and on guard.
But only a moment had passed when this all started.
Nio sensed it then. Something was approaching. Faster than anything he had ever felt, seen, or heard of.
Just a moment later it was under the tree. As suddenly as it had come, the world changed again.
Nio was not able to understand what was going on or how was he able to see all of this.
Thousands of being emerged from thin air.
The thing that had sped to the tree had stopped just a mere moment before touching or rather colliding with Liam.
A smile appeared on Liam's face.
"So, you are acting similarly, okay then. I had some time to think over what to do and I come up with a question for you. It's simple, I want to know what I should do with you?"
Nio was panicking inside but as he saw how calm Liam was he couldn't allow himself to be anything but calm. He would disgrace himself further if he did that.
Liam closed his eyes and started to concentrate on the energy. Symbols started to form as he used the energy from the seed. They were glowing as they were forming.
Liam opened his eyes and saw the glowing symbols for the first time. They looked magical and wonderful but it all contained something he couldn't fathom. The energy inside of them was beautiful yet destructive. He could see that, understanding that getting to that point was going to be extremely hard. Nonetheless, he felt he could get there. He even felt confident about his chances.
He was just skimming the surface or barely reaching for the basics as he formed those symbols as words.
The seed reacted a moment later when those symbols entered him.
Another set appeared.
Liam didn't understand them. It was a first for him.
He shoved his surprise aside and started to concentrate and feel the symbols. The symbols gave off a feeling of its meaning and that's where Liam concentrated. He knew he wouldn't be able to read or understand them. He took that direction and concentrated on the symbols meaning.
An hour later he opened his eyes, there was a frown between his eyebrows.
"It doesn't make sense," he said out loud as his frustration hit the ceiling.
He looked around and saw all the Avatars present. He thought to ask them but he shook his head and turned to Nio, smiling.
"You look calmer than I thought you'd be," Liam smirked at him.
"Fuck you! I'm not calm at all!" he hissed at him in anger or frustration, Liam didn't know, nor did he care. He needed to ask him something, but he didn't know how to.
"Umm, I have a problem and I don't know how to solve it, would you help?"
"Sure I would! Like I fucking have a choice," the sarcasm and anger in his voice made Liam flinch.
"I'm sorry," he said but he was rather focused on his problem than Nios. "Have you ever tried to understand another language?"
"Nope! There was never any need for that, but what's that got to do with your problem?"
"That's the thing, I have never had this problem, I can always understand and speak whatever language was directed at me, but this is something I have never encountered. So, what I'm asking is how you learn a language?"
"Hah! That's your problem? I thought it was serious," he laughed as a way of relaxing his mind. He calmed down after a minute.
Nio didn't think that it was a problem at all. After all, the thing floating in front of Liam gave him strong oppressive force. He felt like he should never touch the thing or he would die instantly. And yet, Liam in front of it didn't look to feel anything. It was like the glowing thing had selected Liam for its recipient. No one else should receive that energy, that power otherwise their fate would be sealed.
That was why he thought that Liam had a problem with the glowing thing, not the talking or that symbol thing he did.
"Can you understand the symbols?" Nio asked in a moment of thinking.
"Just the individual symbol meaning."
"But you looked like you understood the previous thing the thing had said?" He questioned.
"That's because it was simple then. It wanted me to absorb the energy and plant it, but I wanted to know a few more things before I started to do that. It seems like it doesn't understand what I wanted to know so I changed the question..."
"Then, what the fuck did you ask?" Nio was frustrated with the kid.
"I wanted to know if this planet had a recipient other than me. It answered yes and I asked where that person was located and that is where I got stopped. I basically couldn't understand the directions."
"How come your so stupid, ask if it can point the direction!"
"I'm a dummy," Liam sighed and focused on the seed energy again.
A simple arrow appeared, it pointed in a certain direction Liam had wanted to traverse before but waited for the seed to arrive.
A wide smile appeared on Liam's face.
