Liam concentrated on the energy again to give the seed some instructions and asked a final question. Liam smiled again as he understood the answer and saw how the seed suddenly vanished.
His order had been to always hover a meter above him and be unseen to everybody else but him. He couldn't see it any more but that didn't mean he didn't feel it.
Liam didn't know how but he had a feeling that the people who were selected by the seed were important and should be of tremendous help to him and his future accomplishments.
"As you all saw, I didn't disappear and I wanted to promise you something. I will plant the seed and activate the tower once I know what it needs, thus making the planet evolve again, what do you think?"
A loud cacophony of energetic responses resounded in the air.
Liam's nose started to bleed from all that pressure the Avatars were giving off. He wiped it off with his sleeve. The Avatars noticed it but Liam continued to talk.
"Just so you know, I will give that person a chance and see what they would do with it, what is your opinion on that?"
The avatars didn't voice it this time but as one, they nodded in agreement.
A gentle wind brushed bast Liam, carrying word on the stream.
"We would also like to know who the Seed has taken a liking to other than The World Reader," the words were soft yet sharp like the wind itself.
The event caused by the Seed was over and they had voiced their words as best they could without killing the World Reader and they started to disperse into thin air.
"A World Reader? What is that?"
"I'm surprised they let you hear it! So, it seems they have formed some trust in you, how peculiar."
"You didn't answer," Nio pulled him back. Not satisfied with the bullshit he had spouted.
"That is me," Liam sighed, "I don't exactly know or understand it either. They called me that at home and they call me that here. I have no solid information about it and they don't seem to have it either. So, to say it simply, I have no fucking clue what I am!"
"Huh? That … must be frustrating." Nio said after a thought.
"Yeah, it is… not to understand anything and just somehow ... What the fuck am I supposed to do with all this?" Liam put his frustration into words and moved his body like he had been practicing since he was little. It was natural now, the movement was so fluid as he punched the air. All the energy in his body had gathered inside his fist and once he reached the limit of the punch, it was released to the direction of the forest.
A shock wave of air rippled through the clearing under the tree. Bending the trees around it.
Liam hadn't stopped with just one punch, he had continued with the movement series and released a punch after a punch. Kicks followed soon after and they held the same power. Soon punches and kicks were mixed in a flurry of motion as it started to look like dance being performed.
Nio stared at it, seeing something like that for the first time in his life.
The tiny two-legged person suddenly looked powerful. He couldn't understand how. Does something like this make one stronger?
Nio looked and concentrated on Liam's body. He saw it then, the energy inside his body moved the way his body was directing it. It was in perfect synergy.
Nio thought of his own body and figured that he was lacking something. Something he didn't even know anything about. The energy inside him moved naturally how ever he needed it but it seemed to have lacked the finesse Liam was displaying at the moment. He figures that as a beast he had all he needed inside him but now seeing such a insignificant being deal such blows was pulling his confidence down.
Sometime later, Liam comes out of his frustration-induced trance. He looked at the forest beyond and wondered. Had he become this much stronger in the last two weeks? He had noticed things, but he didn't think the effect had been this strong.
The trees didn't just bend, they broke. Only one got torn to pieces put the others around lost a few too many branches. Still, he had never been able to do that before.
He liked his progress a lot, but he had to put all that on energy gathering with that one core he had absorbed before. He wondered if he was now strong enough to hunt a Tyrant King. He was doubtful about that.
He looked at the tree, under which he was standing and approached it. He wrote with his finger on it, using a tiny bit of the energy that was still left in his body.
After all, he had used much of it to ease his frustration.
#I will leave tomorrow.#
The tree answered him.
#I understand. It was nice having you here. Take the snake and find my companion.#
#I will try, but it is his choice. Do you know who your companion is?#
#Yes, he resides on the wrong tree as well, we can not communicate with the wrong resident.#
#Can you point the direction?# Liam asked and a branch suddenly captured his attention, pointing.
#Just a bit under four thousand kilometers.# The tree's words caught Liam off his guard. That far!
#Do you know where his tree is?#
#I do not, I only know where my partner is, but he should concentrate on his energy, it should point him in that direction.#
#Thank you. I will do my best in taking him away, but will you be okay once he leaves?#
#Up to six months, I should be fine, but after that, my defenses will weaken.#
Liam took up his knife and sliced his palm. He smeared it onto the tree without thinking. It could be said, that his instincts took over.
#Thank you, I should be fine until my companion arrives. You are worthy to be the World Reader. This is my thanks.#
Five leaves from the tree fell onto Liam's hands. He smile and wrote a thank you for the tree. Liam wrapped them up and placed them in his bag.
"Nio, I'm leaving tomorrow."
"Good!"
"You should come with me," Liam tried to invite him.
"Why should I do something this stupid?"
"Because we should find your tree."
"And you know how to do that?"
"I do! Well, I can tell you how you can do that."
'How do you know that?' Suspicion had risen in Nio. After all, Liam hadn't known that before.
"The tree told me," Liam said indifferently.
"Huh? The tree? The tree can't speak." he scoffed.
"You know, they call me the World Reader for a reason," a smirk appeared on his mouth.
"What? Does it mean that you could read trees? That's just stupid." Nio just sneered at his words.
"Well, believe it or not, that is my reality and that was what the tree had told me."
"Fine, I'll think about that." he turned away from Liam, who hid his chuckle.
