Angry Mother Hen.

It was a brand new brightful day and the morning sun rays sneaking through the curtains woke Wren up from her deep slumber. Her body had fully received the deprived rest it urgently needed.

She rubbed her eyes, stretching her hand towards the alarm clock on the nightstand. Wren then discovered she wasn't woken up by the alarm due to her forgetting to set it up for the determined time, she usually set it to wake up before going to sleep.

Today was Friday and it was past nine already but she wasn't going to go to school. She was going to take a rest today. Wren yawned, while getting up from the bed and stood on her toes, stretching her body lazily to stir away the little sleep still in her eyes.

"Ouch!" A squeak escaped from her lips as she stopped stretching her body and sat down on her bed swiftly. She totally forgot about how she was flung away by Quinn last night which made her stretch her body, only for her to feel the pain now.

One hand traveled to her left shoulder which seemed to hurt the most in the whole of her body, causing Wren to push the hand of the spaghetti strap top she wore off her shoulder and moved towards the mirror of the dresser to check out the back of her shoulder only for these words to escape from her lips before she could stop them.

"Holy crap!" Her left shoulder was reddened and heavily bruised, it seemed to be healing but the process was so slow, making Wren wonder if she was really a werewolf or just a mere human.

If this had happened to the others, it would have healed up with no scratch but hers was a different case. Wren was a mess and her clothes too, it had few dirty blood stains which she had to wash off and feel refreshed.

She didn't even take a bath before going to bed last night, all thanks goes to Quinn and her madness for all that.

Wren left her room in a bathrobe, locking the door and took just a few steps forward to find her way to the bathroom made for females only, when she observed Tyler coming out of his room too. Not knowing what to do, she intended going back to her room for Tyler to leave before her.

However, unfortunately for her, Tyler had seen her.

"F**k" She mumbled, lowering her gaze to the floor, waiting patiently for Tyler to leave so she could just go, but there stood Tyler watching her like a hawk and studying her movements.

Wren slowly lifted her gaze to meet with Tyler's, only for her to almost stumble caused by the glares he was shooting at her. She swallowed hard, not knowing what else to say rather than to wave.

"Hi" She muttered in a low manner to Tyler who ignored the unwanted morning greeting from Wren and left. Wren watched Tyler leave, ignoring her totally as if an idiot had spoken to him.

"Should have just kept my greetings to myself" She chided herself, with her cheek flushing red from embarrassment. This was actually the reason why she called him the devil, just yesterday he acted as someone who really cared for her and today he became cold towards her.

Wren bet the devil was even better than Tyler who had no humor for anyone. She should have known the reason he was kind to her yesterday was because his dad put her in his care. What else was she even thinking?.

Weston High.

The classroom was always noisy and lively as always with the students moving round the whole place, chit-chatting and exchanging pleasantries with each other till the king came in and everywhere quieted down with all eyes on him.

The only remaining thing now was for everyone to fully address him as king by saying, "All hail the king" and going down on their knees. Tyler stood beside the door with his eyes going all over the classroom searching for someone best known to him.

"She's not here, yet" He mumbled in a low manner, leaving the door and finding his way to the back of the class where his seat and buddies were located. Lawson was the first to sight him coming towards their way, so he stood to give him a high five which Tyler totally ignored and went straight to his seat.

With the disappointment written all over Lawson's face, he gently brought his hand down staring at Simon with questionable looks who only gave him a shrug for an answer. Tyler wasn't the type to ignore a handshake because it had become their thing.

Something they did everyday, anywhere  and whenever they set eyes on each other. Moving his gaze to Tyler seated and just staring at an open empty space with his brows furrowed made Lawson know something was actually bothering him.

That was the way Tyler always behaved whenever something bothered his mind.

Lawson slowly went back to his seat positioned right in front of Tyler's desk and sat down, while Simon just kept staring at Tyler and asked.

"Hey, what's up with..." His statement trailed off caused by Tyler asking him a question at the same time.

"Have you seen Quinn?"

"Uhm, I don't think so, I haven't seen Rachel too, I wonder where she is?" Simon responded, scratching the back of his hair with his eyes searching for Rachel round the class.

It hasn't been long since he came to school with Lawson together before Tyler arrived shortly a few minutes after they had arrived. There was no sign of Rachel, Quinn nor Eve in school nor in class, the three of them were usually together anywhere they were, which made him not bothered much about his mate's absence.

He was sure she was just somewhere in school, wandering around with Quinn and Eve.

In the female restroom.

Rachel had used one of the toilets, and closed the door right after she was done, moving towards the sink to wash her hands and face too.

She switched the tap off, taking a handkerchief out of the handbag she came to school with and wiped the remains of water on her face. She put the handkerchief back into the handbag, turning towards the door and was startled to see Quinn standing in front of the door with Eve beside her.

"Hi" Rachel let out a nervous chuckle, waving at Quinn who rolled her eyes with her hands formed akimbo on her waist like an angry mother hen looking out for harm coming her chicks way, while Eve could only give her the death sign across her throat indicating to Rachel, she was in real deep shit.

"Well look, who decided to say hi".
