Derrick was the only one outside and he walked away from it because he didn't want to listen to the arguing anymore. Didn't want to hear about the evil things that opposed humans. He really did care greatly for Kendra. He loved her and over the past few weeks that love had changed to be more like a friend than before. Mostly with their talk and her distance. So it hurt that she wasn't really speaking to him. He relied on her too, he felt a bit like an outcast in the group with the concern as a vet. He didn't like how they handled some of the animals. The things they did, so Kendra had been a nice relief.
