"What did you just see?" Krio demanded through Beth and the others looked at him before back at Beth. Daniel shifted slightly, not a second had passed in the room, just that of one breath in and out for everyone else but Daniel. He wasn't sure he could speak for a moment.

"You'll never control Kitsune, if you kill me." Daniel said, dropping his weapon from pointing at Beth. It was incredibly hard not to wince when he felt Night's claws dig slightly into his skin, he knew now that the pivotal moment of choice had been when she'd touched his leg. That had triggered his sight because one wrong choice by any in the room and several weren't going to be alive in the next moment.

"Oh I think I'll find a way, and if you know how she has to stay you'd realize I have options. Now what did you see?" Krio demanded. Beth's voice growing deeper.
