To Fix What's Broken

"You shouldn't have lost your temper like that. It could have cost you with the others." Adina said, turning to Mason and putting a hand to his chest. She also reached up and touched Kaleer who let out a puff of smoke.

"Adina, we do not care what the others think of us. We care what you think and we also care that our mate is respected and not attacked verbally or physically. That is just not what we are going to tolerate." He told her and Adina met his hazel eyes that were darker at the moment. She just searched his gaze as he reached up and let a hand slide into her hair a bit. Just touching his mate and happy too. Adina felt this need to press into his hand a bit, much like a cat might.

"Sometimes it is smarter to hold it in. They are taking her to holding, so she should not be a problem for us at the moment. We needed to talk with the rest and get them on our side to help defend our home when we have very little time." Adina told him and he sighed.
