Identity

Shuu and Jessy seemed to instantly get along as they strolled the Market. They were both very enthusiastic to see the knick-knacks, paintings, sculptures, and other arts on display in the market, really highlighting the richness of their regional values.

Along the way, Shuu seemed to be the star of every citizen who saw her. People in the market began to pay close attention to her. Who is the beautiful lady behind the silk scarf?

Everyone greeted Shuu friendly and there were even merchants who gave Shuu free trinkets. Shuu looked happy and started to feel that everyone was nice to her.

Prajo who was monitoring Shuu and Jessy from behind seemed to cover his face with his straw hat so as not to be identified by the residents. Suddenly Prajo felt someone was trying to find his whereabouts with Gezela's magic, then he tried to leave Shuu so Shuu wouldn't be the focus of someone looking for him.

Odi seemed to approach them with a nervous expression from the front. Shuu who saw Odi walking towards her looked confused and surprised.

"What are you doing here Mr pervert!" Shuu reflexively spread her arms around Jessy like she wanted to protect her.

Shuu looked at Odi scornfully. Odi who saw his gaze immediately knew that his presence would make Shuu uncomfortable. Odi immediately understood that what his father said was true.

Everyone around Shuu was immediately shocked to hear Shuu say that Odi was a pervert.

"If you try to do that again, even to my friends, I'll kill you with my magic. Don't mess with me!" Shuu said with emphasis.

"What are you saying, Miss? Is Mr. Odi the son of the Village Chief was a pevert?" An old merchant selling trinkets beside Shuu was confused.

Jessy, who also didn't understand what was going on, tried to read the situation. Jessy saw Odi look pale and felt guilty. Jessy thought that her brother had indeed made a mistake that Shuu said. Feel this can't be continued because people will talk about Odi and it will have the effect to her father. Jessy immediately pulled Shuu's hand before Shuu said an answer to the old merchant.

"Let's go quickly Miss Shuu"

"Eh-eh, I haven't had a chance to talk to that pervert yet." Shuu seemed to be holding her position.

"Come on, hurry!" Jessy pulled Shuu's hand tightly.

Shuu also resignedly followed Jessy, while maintaining the direction of her gaze by looking at Odi sarcastically.

Jessy turned out to take Shuu to the local library building and a place to buy and sell books. Shuu stared at the place with a twinkle in her eye. Books are Shuu's favorite.

Jessy also invited Shuu into the library building, there was a comfortable and peaceful room with lots of natural light from the window.

The library window immediately spoils the eyes of those who see it with views of Mount Wura and the flow of river water.

Shuu immediately looked for a book with a themes she wanted to read. About water magic. After Shuu got the book she wanted to read, she immediately looked for a position where she read.

In the reading room, there were only Jessy and Shuu reading their respective books. Then Jessy seemed to open a talk asking about Shuu's words at the Market. Shuu stopped reading her book and told everything about Odi.

Jessy felt confused, feeling Shuu's story was the same as the one that was currently popular among the villagers. Now Jessy knows that it was Odi's doing. Then Jessy told Shuu that Odi was her older brother and the son of the village head of Wura, Dobe.

Shuu looked surprised and felt bad for Jessy and also Dobe who had treated Odi like that in the market. Shuu also felt uneasy about her anger towards Odi.

"It's okay. Don't worry about it. We are the ones who have to apologize to you, Miss. My brother deserves such a reward. He seems to have no respect for women" Jessy held Shuu's shoulder with a smile.

Shuu looked at Jessy with relief and then continued her reading.

"You seem to like reading Miss Shuu, I've never had friends like me before, love to read" Jessy chuckled.

"Now I'm happy, we will share many things. Maybe you will go to school and compete with me later even you and I will go to Vigza Academy together. Are you interested in Vigza Academy Miss Shuu?" Jessie continued.

The question made Shuu shift her focus.

"I've heard of it, it's a school where all the best students and teachers from various countries gather to seek knowledge. An ideal place to seek knowledge" Shuu looked enthusiastic.

"By the way the book you are reading is a book about water magic. Water magic is an old magic that depends on the flow of the body chakra. Maybe this book can help you" Jessy gave a book to Shuu.

"Thank you, Miss Jessy, this book is very relevant. But what about you? What are you going to read?"

"I originally wanted to read human anatomy because I wanted to be a healer. Then I saw that the book was still related to anatomy, so I took it. But it seems you need it more, so I'll look for something else" Jessy smiled and left Shuu in the room.

Shuu was happy to have an understanding friend. She then took a long, happy breath while gazing at the scenery in the room's window and then rereading the book about body chakra.

Shuu seemed to focus on reading and understanding each line of the book. The longer she read, the more curious she became.

"Hah? How could that be?" Shuu mumbled.

Shuu felt restless and troubled. When she finished, she looked for another book and read it then looked for another book and read it again.

Jessy who saw that seemed to think that Shuu might also be interested in becoming a healer and staying focused on her reading.

After Jessy finished with her reading, Shuu's desk was piled up with a lot of books. It seemed Shuu was reading the books all on her desk. Jessy who saw it couldn't understand it, she approached Shuu and saw Shuu's expression was pale and restless.

"Let's go home Miss Shuu. People at home will be looking for us"

Shuu didn't budge, she remained focused on her reading.

"Miss..."

"No Jessy, I will stay here. I still want to read a book" Shuu immediately cut off Jessy's words.

Jessy saw Shuu's strong resistance. She gave up and chose to leave the library. Not long after Jessy came out, Prajo came running, covering his face with a straw hat.

"Have you been here all along?" Prajo approached Jessy and asked in a breathless tone.

"Yes Uncle, we have been in the library for a long time"

Prajo immediately panicked.

"Jessy, go home first, we'll catch up" Prajo patted Jessy's shoulder and went straight into the library.

After entering, Shuu looked at Prajo looking disappointed and angry.

Prajo looked at Shuu with a guilty look.

"It's my fault, I can explain"

"Why did you do this? This is very crucial." Shuu looked angry and held back his tears.

Prajo seemed speechless. He should have predicted this from the start to prepare for it.

"It's because of who you are"

"My identity? What's wrong with me? My Dad lied to me about who I am"

"-"

"Am I not filial, Dad? Am I a naughty child? I always follow your words. Even from small to large I have lived on the top of Mount Wura without forcing my right to leave" Shuu couldn't hold back her anger.

"Am I a disgrace to you, Dad? So you hide me and you don't even tell me my true identity" Shuu remembered in the book that most parents are ashamed to have children out of wedlock, especially when Shuu doesn't know what his mother is like.

"No, don't think like that. Now, I'll tell you everything"

Prajo tried to approach Shuu and tempered his anger by trying to hug her.

"No Dad, don't approach me just yet. After everything you've done by putting my understanding and habits into being a girl that affects my identity"

Shuu took a deep breath.

"I'm a boy, right, Dad?"
