9- my saviour

' I'll tell you what I'm gonna do.... I'm gonna fight'.

With determination she turned around to face the creatures that were three in number. Her mind was running, calculating her situation and chances.

She was thinking of a solution to this trap. The last time she covered her face with her arms, her problem was solved. Was it magic? With that thinking she quickly covered her face with her arms, expecting the same result as the last time, but after a while she just heard the loud laughter of the disguised creatures

She carefully uncover her arms to leave to a little space, which she peeped through, and true to her dismay, things were still as it was. She then heard the man that chuckled said " aww... Little girl you wanna play hide and seek.." It felt weird hearing words come out of the creature mouth, they look like minster that could only growl and screech. Or was it the ability for the disguise.

Selena uncovered her arms and said, acting brave, " you creatures should just return to wherever you came from," as soon as she said that, their laughter died down, they had a shocked expression on their faces as they look at one another for confirmation. The first guy that talked turn back to her and His face had an ugly expression. "I knew you were not normal," he said with a scornful expression in his face.

He then sniffed the air and turned to the others " you smell that...." He asked. The other two sniff the air too and nodded at him, he then turned "back to selena and said " it seems we are indeed right, there's a special smell on you.." He sniffed the air once more and his face turned into one of pleasure as if savouring the smell....." He then turned to her and cocked an eyebrow" and you seem awfully scared of us...because you can see us....the real us" he then started to slowly started to walk toward Selena, " Nobody suppose to see us...you are indeed special girl. Who are you...." He said and transformed to his original form along with the others. Selena was panicked and while they aren't looking she tap the watch for emergency multiple time, hoping for them to just appear in front of her now.

"People who know too much should be.... Annihilated" with that he lunged towards her along with the others. Selena covered her face as an instinct in protection. At that moment, everything froze....it happened in a fraction of second but it could be enough for Selena to narrate every detail. Under the pale moon light, a figure appeared from nowhere in front of her, it had dark hooded cloak and an air of with the mist that surrounded it at that moment the figure looked mysterious, it loomed over Selena though it had it back to her. As the mysterious figure slowly raised its hooded head the monsters could see the piercing silver eyes in the dark of the night, it had an ominous glow, such a huge contrasts to the dark attire.

The monster stiffened and felt a chill down their backs. They stared at the clocked figure with their soulless eyes, but what they didn't know is that the clocked figure eyes was more soulless than theirs...a very deep Abyss, so very deep.

As Selena stared at the back of this cloaked figure she immediately recognised the figure as her saviour.

"Saviour.." The words left her mouth like a whisper carried by the wind, but the cloaked figure heard her loud and clear, it turned his head to the side to take a which glance at her and for acknowledgment. It turned back it head to face the creatures above it. They were if different sizes as if of different ranks, one slender, one huge and the other medium size. The huge one was the leader of the group.

They looked discounted with the new comer as they snarled where their yellow sharp teeth peeked out against their slimy black skin. But they once again sniff the air.... As the cloaked figure saw them sniffing the air, he stretched out his air and that moment mist materialized around His hand and took the form of an object..... With the pale moon light as the source if light in this alley, something bright contrasted with the moonlight add gleam to a sharp arc like blade the light from the moon highlighting it ran through the stainless body that looked like silver making it known how sharp it is, one swipe and it could cut into anything, it had a pole connected to it like a staff, with weird writings on the body. The dark staff with weird carvings connected with the arced blade looked like a menacing call of death. Yes it was a scythe... A weapon meant for the messengers of death.

The creature didn't take the hint of the appearance of that object to flee and not mess with her anymore. Instead with a screech that felt like claws scratching irons in ones ears rang in the night as they lunged forward to attack the hooded figure.

It happened so fast, he was in front Selena in one moment and in the next he dissapered and suddenly materlized behind the first monster and...

Slash!

He sliced the scythe right through the creature, splitting it in two, there was no sound, no time to make a sound or screech as the creature became puddle of goo coming down. And with the speed of light he dash through to the second one cutting through the neck then through the stomach. The second came down with the same result as the first. The last one which was the leader, the disguised man who talked the most to Selena was quick enough to evade when the hooded figure attacked the first and second, it was now the only creature standing...but not for long.

He was the biggest among them, though it was fast to escape the first time, it definitely wasn't smart as it again tried to lunge at Selena, like a brainless animal. Looking back at the hooded creature you would notice the flash in his eyes as the creature subtle attention was shifted to Selena for a moment before it lunged towards her, its blade like arms out for a kill. But before he could reach Selena. With a slash its out stretched blade like arm came down and turned to goo puddle. It fell down on its knees In pain. While trying to get up, another slash and it second arm came down. It knelt there screeching in pain.

Selena even had to wince and cover her ears. The hooded figure slowly walked toward it and when the figure stood in front of the kneeling monster, the creature raised its head and look at its death in the eye with it soulless eyes, but at that moment he realized its soulless eyes is nothing compare to the deep abyss staring back at him with a death sentence as judgement. It would never know what it did wrong, as the slash of the blade and swish sound into the night, its head came down with a thud! Its head turned to puddle and a clean cut showed at the neck. With the blink of an eye the remaining limbs came down and the parts turned to puddle. Now it was just a gooey mess on the ground. You won't even be able to guess the substance on the ground if you didn't know what transpired that night.

After the last creature came down, there was a silence than hung in the air. Selena was stiffened and didn't know what to do next. Should she run away or approach her saviour that saved her life twice now... But her question came to a halt as she saw the hooded figure turned around to face her. It took a few stride and was now in front of her, gazing at her with it silver eyes that came to life seeing her. His eyes was beautiful but looked so sad too. Before Selena could do anything
