Deep breaths.whats going on? Am I seeing things? This cant be real...this must be a dream...no, a nightmare. But...im staring at it. Right infront of me.

This wasn't how I planned to start my day when I woke up this morning.

What happened?

[EARLIER TODAY]

The light from the sun ray stream through the opening in the curtain and it landed on the person on the bed, waking her up.

After opening her eyes, she sat up and yawned. She stood up and did some stretches. As she decided last night, she would go out today.

So with that in mind she did her mourning routine.dressed up in casual clothes, then pack some things she needed in her purse. She didn't bother to check her appearance. It not like anyone would care.

While packing her eyes fell on her laptop at the bedside table. After thinking, she decided to bring it along with her. Who knows, maybe she might do some updating today.

After she was done.. dressed in her casual clothes,, she left her apartment and locked the doors.

As she walked down the corridors, greeting her neighbor and people she knew. She received some curious stares. But what further made herself curious was when she got to the ground floor and greeted the nice lady behind the desk,the woman greeted her back and said " you are looking good today". Selena was quite confused, but she just brushed it of as a nice gesture and she complimented the woman back.

She finally left the building and as she walked down the side walk to the bus station while browsing on her phone, she bumped into someone again. She fell back this time and as she looked up, her face transformed into one of horror. Her face went as white as a blank sheet of paper.

Staring right back at her were souless eyes. Her scream was stuck in her throat, due to fright.

The creature which looked like the one that attacked her two night ago, stared back at her with it souless eyes. It then walked off freely.

Selena was beyond confused, how can this kind of creature walk away freely, she thought as she stood up dusted and picked up her things. But she almost fell back again in horror as she looked around, her face drained of all colour as she saw more of these creatures freely walking around. Some people had them as shadows stuck behind them. Some have dark mist around them and some the mist was above their head like a gloomy cloud. Some with the mist had the outline of the creature around them .

This was all so shocking, she felt like she was seeing a new world. A dark gloomy world. Maybe because she was standing too long and out of place, some of the creatures turned their attention toward her. She quickly faced forward, low key panicking. She walked with her head lowered and tried not to bump into any of them. Yes, though some looked normal like her, it seems they could not see them, as they walked and minded their own business. They seem invisible to the normal eyes.From a third point of view, the creature that bumped into her and walked away, seemed like a normal rude person to them. While those with the creatures as shadow and mist were just having that dull lifeless look in their eyes. Like a normal sad and depressed person.

She kept her head lowered as she speed up to catch the bus. Once she borded the bus sighing, she was meet with the same reality, as things were also like outside. There were some creatures disgused as people, some with mist and some with the creature as shadows.

Selena stood, as she didn't want to be in contact with them. When the bus started to move, her eyes naturally wondered around and she then locked eyes with one of the souless eyes of a creature sitting across her.

The creature thinking she could see it just the way others see it, gave a friendly smile, but to selena, the smile was creepy, as the line which was the mouth stretched abnormally wide, with the yellow sharp teeth peeking out, the small two holes as nose and dark soulless eyes stare at her.

She was shaken, it took so much, for her knee not to buckle, as they were shaking so bad. Hopefully she hoped it wasn't that noticeable.

To lessen suspicion, selena smiled back at it, but her lips twitched and her smile almost faltered at the process. You couldn't blame her. It wasn't normal to smile back at something so terrifying.

As soon as the bus stopped, she was quick to jump out, with her heart beating wildly in her chest as she walked the remaining way to her destination. Her head down on her phone.

As soon as she entered the cafe, she quickly went to sit in a corner, away from the weird creatures and people.

Her relief was short lived when someone came and sat across her.

She stiffened, this person had the creature as a shadow. It didn't help matters that as she wasn't bothering to look up the creature got curious. It moved forward like a smoke and circled around her. Studying her face. She was really trying to look calm. She didn't think it would be a good idea to create alert, when only she could see the so called monster. Some people might think she's crazy.

She quickly picked up her laptop and place it in front of her and opening it. Her head was a mess and she was shaking from fright.

She started typing a few words, but later cancel them.she couldn't think properly. The creature went back, behind the person and just curiously looked at selena from time to time.

He head shooting up, to some times see the creature opposite her.

What happened?

Since she couldn't focus, she decided to write about what's been happening for a few days now. Starting from the notmal morning and meeting with her friend, down to her current experiences.

Writing, especially writing of novels or stories has always been her way to feel alive, the world is nothing at that moment as she is been taken into another world. A beautiful fantasy world, where you wish to stay longer. You get to be any character you want. As selena fingers were flying away on the keyboard, she was oblivious to her surroundings.

Stretching and cracking her fingers, selena finally lifted her head off her laptop and was vaguely now aware of her surroundings. It was dark now and dew customers were left in the cafe. Even the guy or creature whatever that was across her is gone. He must have left why she was in the mood of unwinding her feelings and experiences into her note. She then proceeded to save.

She packed up and greeted the workers as she left.

Stepping out the door with the jingles coming from the bell that makes a sound everytime someone walk past the door.

Stepping outside she was one again greeted by the cool wind. She looked up at the sky and sighed wondering how she'll cope with these things she seeing now.

Through out her journey back home she was lost in thought. After coming down from the bus she borded. She felt all she had to do was pretend she didn't see this things. So with that in mind she cointined walking back home.

As she was browsing through her phone. She heard the steady foreign footsteps behind her at a distance, she ignored it at first, thinkinf it was someone also going the same way, but as the footstep didn't dtop after a few blocks. She paused and heard the steps falter. She cointinued walking and realizes it wasn't just steps from one person now they were more than two. She was freaked out, but didn't panic.

After a while that she confirmed it was her they were following, she hastened her steps and their steps spread up too. Out if the corner of her eye she can clearly see they were creatures disgused as human. She almost started to panic. What do they want from her.

She speed up and now she was in a full sprint. She ran as fast as she could. The harsh winter wind against her cheek making her cheeks flush. Her long hair fluttering in the wind, but her heart was beating fast.

' I have to loose them', she thought after a while of running and not being able to loose them. 'Maybe I could just....' she thought, then turned a corner hoping to loose them. The streets were silent, but this alley was more deserted. Only the pale moon in the sky, stood at witness to this chase and selena's fear as it heightened.

After running for a while, she was tired. She didnt know fir how long she was running. Once again she met with a cruel fate if a dead end. Arghh!!!!Was this a trick from the universe. Why dies she keep meeting dead ends, it was not a good thing considering this situation.

She thought about just giving up. 'No...i should fight... i should at least do something ' she told herself as she came to a halt at the dead end.

She now stood facing the dead end and the creatures halted also behind her.

They chuckled "you have no where to go girly. The first one said.

'Game over girl' the second one said.

' what are you gonna do now ' the third one added. They were three in total.

Selena clenched her feet beside her, yes, whats she gonna do . Ill tell you what she gonna do 'I'm gonna have to fight she thought.
