Her Chances

"Good morning, Mr Kiel!"

When he opened his eyes those were the words he heard. Still feeling the lightweight of his head, Kiel pushed himself up and leaned his back.

Everything was unfamiliar. This is not his apartment and Anna was in front of him. The lady put a tray of hot tea on the side desk. "How are you feeling?"

The man on the bed roamed his eyes. "Am I in your place?" He mumbled, still with his morning hoarse voice. He rubbed his forehead and massaged his temples.

Anna walked to the windows and parted the curtains. The sun rays then slowly entered the glass windows, lighting the whole room. From looking at the blue sky and white clouds, it's already noon.

"Drink your tea. My aunt told me that it's good for a hangover." She smiled and arranged the other table. "Sorry if the room is kinda messy. No one used this guest room for a long time." She said.
