Chapter 11

5 years had passed since the last time I saw Jason. in that 5 year span there was no sign of Melissa, but we never let our guard down even after Mark was born we were constantly on watch. but with time came many changes other then just my two beautiful babies being born jarred and I also combined our packs.

we decided once Ally and mark both came of age the packs would separate into 2 separate pack Ally obviously become the alpha of Jason's and mark becoming the alpha of Jarred's.

Allison grew into such a smart girl. at the age of 5 already not only knowing to protect her baby brother but also knowing the responsibilities she would one-day have. she also knew that jarred was her biological father but as she saw it she was the lucky girl with 2 alpha dad's. and I would always tell her about Jason.

although right now she only knows him as the father that passed away jarred and I decided it would be better to tell her the truth when she became old enough to want answers for herself.

we became one big happy family.

"mommy, mommy mark isn't sharing" Allison yelled running into the kitchen "Ally did you say please?" I asked kneeling down to my 5 year olds level "yeah but he said it was a boys toy" she said crossing her arms and pouting her lips. I stood up and grabbed her hand and she led me to where her brother was. "mark why aren't you sharing, you know those toys are for the both of you!" I said "These are boy toys" he said as he continued to play with his Legos.

'Sometimes I really wonder if he's a genius ike the doctor said' I thought to myself. "mark... toys don't have a gender their assigned to their meant for everyone Sweetie" I said kneeling down. "but why?" he asked looking up at me. "Because when toys or other objects are separated between genders it can really confuse people for example some boys may like the color pink or playing with dolls they could even like wearing dresses" I said trying to explain.

"oh" he said looking at the ground "I'm sorry mommy" he said with teary eyes. "you have to apologize to your sister not me mark" I said standing up "I'm sorry Ally" he said turning to look at her. "it's ok marky" she said walking over to him then hugging him. I smile lightly, "now please play nice and share" I said then walked back out to the kitchen.

I looked at my phone and saw 5 missed calls from Cynthia, there was no voicemail so I tried calling her back with no answer. "thats weird" I said to myself then tried to call again. once again no answer. worry started to come over me, almost as if something was wrong. I called one more time and left a voicemail. "Hey Cynthia it's me I saw you called so I obviously tried to call you back give me a call asap so I know your alright I have a bad feeling" I said then hung up.

I put my phone on the counter for a minute then called Jarred's mother. after a few rings she picked up. "Vanessa how lovely it is to hear from you again" she said "hey I'm so sorry to bother you I know it's short notice but do you think you could watch the kids for me for a bit?" I asked. "I can watch my grandson" she said "your kidding me right?" I said "it is not my fault you chose to not only sleep but marry another alpha" she said "you no what rose don't worry about it and don't worry about Thanksgiving either" I said "Wait..." she said right as I hung up the phone.

I then made a decision. "kids get you shoes on" I yelled into the living room. before I knew it we were at the pack house standing in front of jarred. "um what's going on?" jarred asked look up and down at us. "I need you to watch the kids" I said pushing them lightly forward towards him "what about my mother?" he asked.

"your mother has decided not to include Allison as one of her grandchildren and until she does she will not be seeing me or any of our children" I said and he sighed. "now I have to go find Cynthia so your on kid duty until I get back" I said "I have work" he said as I turned around "Jarred I take care of our kids and run Jason's half of the pack 18 hours a day 7 days a week and manage just fine you can watch them for one day" I snapped then walked away.

I got into my car and started it while simultaneously attempting to call Cynthia again. finally she answered "Nes" she said sounding almost out of breath. "Cynthia thank God please tell me your ok" I said in a worried tone. "stay away..... it's.... not safe...." she said sounding weaker. "tia what happened to you... it's been 10 months..." I said "please stay away" she said then hung up "Cynthia.... Cynthia.... damnit" I said banging the steering wheel.

I didn't know what to do, so I did the only thing that popped in my head the thing I really didn't want to do but decided on anyway. I drove to her home and broke into it.

I kicked down the door and almost immediately heard something I hadn't heard in 2 years the sound that I never thought would come from Cynthia's home. at first hearing it I was perplexed, confused, unsure, I slowly and carefully followed the familiar noise afraid it would lead me to some sort of trap.

I walked down her skinny hallway and followed the sound to the last room on the right. I entered the room and there it was the source of the crying, an almost newborn baby, with a note attached to it.
