Him

It's been about a good 2 weeks into our senior year. Lucas is still Lucas, although it seems he has started to show some interest in someone other than himself. I wouldn't really know though. From the day we met till now, we never really got along. I think the only reason why he tolerates me is because Alice and Jesse genuinely enjoy my presence. Speaking of which, they seem to have gotten closer over the years. I wouldn't be surprised if they started dating next week. Other than that, everything is everything.

Life at home is pretty quiet too. That is until i noticed a moving van two houses down from mine. That house the van was parked at had been vacant for a while now so i was curious to see who decided to move in. I went outside and pretended to check the mail so i could take a peak at our new neighbors. "Adrian, come help me with this couch", a man yelled . He was a tall man with black hair. He looked like he was in his late 30s, maybe early 40s and he definitely worked out a lot. I started to stare, trying to reveal the identity of 'Adrian'. "Kay dad", someone yelled back. The man continued to pull things out of the van while waiting for the mysterious "Adrian" to appear. I was starting to grow impatient. That is until I noticed a pair of shoes walking towards the man from the other side of the moving van.

Another tall man with short, black hair reveals himself, but this one seemed younger. 18, maybe even 19. 6'2, 6'3, with tattoos all over. He wore a black muscle shirt, with some black shorts and white Air forces. To top it all off , he wore a black baseball cap backwards. You could tell worked out a lot as well. 'Wow', I thought to myself. He was extremely handsome, but he looked so intimidating. He looked over at me and exchanged a smile. I quickly shut the mailbox and went back inside. I guess I didn't realize I was still staring. I went to my room and closed the door, trying to process what had just happened. He seemed so delicate in that moment. Should i have introduced myself? Maybe i should go back. It would be the neighborly thing to do, right....right? No, that would weird. All he did was send a friendly smile my way. I should've given one back. I hope he doesn't think i was being rude. I wasn't trying to be. I should stop over thinking. It was nothing. Just a friendly gesture.....right? ( Right, just a friendly gesture. If only that were true).
