Dragon Blood

Suddenly a giant eye emerged from deep within the stars.

The eye blinked.

Then the eye spoke.

"You have been chosen, human." And the eye vanished from above.

The eye was followed by a voice.

"You have been chosen, human. Chosen to carry the blood, the blood of dragons, inside your veins. Chosen to serve our kind. And when you do, all of this, the pain, the suffering, the nightmares, it will all end."

"And what should I do, my lord?" Leeta asked.

"Come with me, human. I will take you back to my lair. I will show you what you must do."

This is the path that awaits her. But she must choose.

Does she answer the call of the dragon? Or does she walk in the mortal path?

A thousand years ago, she chose to walk the mortal path.

Leeta decides to answer the call of the dragon.

Her journey ends here, in the beautiful sky.

She decides to answer the call of the dragon. She takes a step forward, and she finds herself back in the courtyard of the Imperial City.

All is well in the world once again. Now she just has to find a nice, young lady to settle down with, and if possible, start a family.

A few hundred years from now, her descendants will, in turn, pass on this gift to their children, and their children will, in turn, pass it on to their children, and so forth, until the blood of dragons is once again a reality in the world of man.

A new era will dawn.

This is the way it is meant to be. The story of the dragon has just begun. The first step on her path is complete. The next step is up to her. But there is one final thing I must tell her.

This path is long, and the road ahead will be very, very long. The second step on her path is up to her.

She will meet many dangers, and many obstacles will await her along the way, but nothing shall stand in her way.

She decides to take this path.

She will be part of the dragon's blood.

In time, that gift will spread to the whole world.

The age of dragons will come again.

This is the path that awaits her.

And this is the end of her story, my friend.
