After a long while, Adeline woke from her unconsciousness, when she faintly opened her eyes, what she saw at first was a rocky ceiling staring at her in the face.
She struggled to rise from where she was laid and noticed the blanket she was covered with. She looked around for a little while longer before she wiped the blanket from her body.
She sauntered her eyes around the room again trying to understand the kind of room she was kept in. She could tell she was in some kind of a cubicle and mostly a place looking like a prison or somewhere someone had not been in a long time.
She did not also fail to notice the cobwebs at every sharp corner of the room. Though the whole place was a tiny room inside of what appeared to be a big rock, there was still a door to it.
This place suddenly reminded her of the coven which they called Open Belofte because of its resemblance. Only that in the Open Belofte, it was a cave prison which mocked the vampires for their inability to walk in the sun. But here, the rocky room was closed and not a tiny breeze of air could penetrate into the room.
Adeline completely rose to her feet. She could still feel some weakness within her and her hunger was growing fatal. The first step she took, she almost fell back to the ground if not that she quickly held on to the rocky wall.
This way she was able to keep walking by resting her hand on the wall as she slowly walked to the door.
The door was made from wood and no matter how Adeline tried to look through the door perhaps it would have some holes and she could see through them, she was disappointed because there was no hole and her attempt failed.
This did not mean she gave up trying to know what was happening around her because, at this time, she was now trying to use her little strength to do some magic which would get her out of the room though she failed again.
But Adeline needed no spell to make her magic, she didn't quite understand if it was because she was hungry and that she needed blood to drink or was it because she had only a little strength that caused her magic to fail.
She tried again and again by wishing the door would break down and she would walk freely out of the room and attack the werewolves again until she made them agree to work together.
Again, She failed but not only did she fail, but she also became weaker as she already used the little strength she had left and only just the bit that prevented her from falling unconscious was remaining.
Though she was too weak, her vampire traits were not completely lacking. she heard distant footsteps approaching. And she immediately tried to walk faster to get into the blanket. But if this happened was a lie and at this moment she fell.
Even when she hurriedly tried to get back up and haste into the blanket, the door was already opened and Luka shot a derision look at her.
"The witch is awake '' He said in contempt.
At this instance, Luka stood still at the door and Rueven entered.
"Don't call her that. She is one of us now." He cautioned.
Even when these words were a shock to Adeline, Luka did not show any submissive sign that he heeded Rueven's words. He continued to shoot his stare at her and he was alerted should there be any attack on Rueven.
The more deadly he paid attention to every of her supposed moves, nothing happened and the only utterance that sprouted was Reueven's words as he knelt beside her.
"It's glad to see that you are awake. We heard your breath from the greenery." He said, offering his hand.
Though Adeline did not respond to what he said, she only opened her arm to receive his hand to lift her up.
With this, Reuven helped her stand to her feet and helped guide her out of the room.
For a moment before Rueven had shown up, Adeline could not be wrong to think she was imprisoned. Aside from the fact that the room looked abandoned, it seemed to her that it was designed as an enclosure to punish any erring wolf.
But her initial thought was now proven wrong. At this moment she was heading to the greenery and she saw more other rooms like that room.
There were a few of the pack members in these rooms and this appealed to her that these rooms were not natural but crafted into the rocks at the base of the mountain since the werewolves have decided to make this place their home for a very long time ago.
"Come!" Reuven said as he interrupted Adeline's thought.
Even when Reuven invited her into the Greenery, Adeline did not instantly go in with him. She still waited as she inspected the whole of the greenery by shooting her eyes into the distance and glancing through everything she could see.
She also paid attention to everything that was making distant noises in the greenery. And not only that she heard words, but she also heard their thoughts.
When she finally stepped her foot into the greenery after she had made sure that there had not been any intended attack on her, she began a conversation with Rueven; the tale about an alliance and how to take down her own kind.
Luka was still with them as he followed closely behind Reuven and heard every one of their conversations.
Though Luka hated every bit of words they both said, there was nothing he could do since the alpha already agreed to an alliance with the witch but one thing was still not narrated to Reuven: how she became a witchy vampire so suddenly.
