46. Adeline healed, luka hated

****

To Reuven, to attack the one in the sleeping basket was a secondary goal now that he heard about him and the main elder vampires and the prince vampire was the primary goal he and the packs must war against.

At this moment, Adeline was getting more strong and eventually strong enough that she was able to rise to her feet again.

When she rose, Reuven rose with her and the rest of the pack also bore witness to this because she rose thus, before them.

By Rueven's order, the omega wolves must now return to stand guard at the entrance of the mountain and they must report any movement to the alpha and they would protect what was theirs.

"Come!" Reuven said to Adeline as they both headed into the greenery.

At this moment, Reuven's thoughts were blank and Adeline did not hear anything he thought about which made her curious about why he invited her in the greenery.

As soon as they entered the greenery, they continued to walk further. But even at this moment, Luka sighted them and did not pave idle to what he saw. His curiosity grew above his shoulders and he followed behind them secretly to know or hear what the alpha was going to tell the witch.

Adeline, though already seen what the greenery looked like before, still, sauntered her eyes throughout the greenery again and again as they walked in it.

Even when her eyes could not capture every single detail about the greenery but the path on which she walked closely behind Reuven. She was still amazed by the sight of the greenery.

Thus, she saw the green leaves, the spring, and the trees which graced the nature of the greenery. She could also see how wide the greenery was.

"What is this place?" She queried.

Her question was not a bother to Reuven. It was only normal for a person to ask this kind of question judging from the fact that they were inside of a large mountain and inside of this large mountain, there were trees and waters of different sources filled into it.

"This is an ancient mountain, so they say," Reuven answered.

"They? Who were they?" She questioned again.

"The ones who lived here before they left," Reuven answered almost immediately.

His response led Adeline to a quick thought of why some certain people lived in a place only abandoned later. Though she was quiet for a little while, her silence Reuven understood.

"No one knew why they left or where they went. They called themselves the Elves" Reuven Said.

"And they are the only ones who can explain the mysteries of this place. But that is not why I invited you with me to see this place. This is why you are...``Reuven expressed as he gestured his hands forward to present the new location in the mountain they just got to.

It was such another wonder for Adeline as this place was a replica of the dry cave that paved the entrance into the mountain only that this place was much filled with darkness and only an individual with night vision such as the vampires and the werewolves would be able to see the details of the place.

On the walls were carvings of different patterns and symbols and drawings in some distinct order. Also, there were figures written under each drawing and symbol under each pattern which seemed strange to Adeline.

She walked towards a left side wall and laid her fingers on the writings on the wall gently. She felt nothing but her fingers touching carved lines on the wall.

Even at this moment, She did not speak a word back to Reuven as she stared more at each writing and each drawing.

Also at this moment, Rueven stood behind at a few paces and kept seeing what Adeline was doing.

Adeline began to walk towards the other side of the wall while her finger glided on the wall. This did not mean she stopped staring at the writings because as she was walking slowly, she was still touching on the symbols. She was taking note of the drawings and writings and symbols and perhaps seeing the end of these strange things on the wall.

But as she kept walking, she did not find any wall where there were no writings on it, even so, she did not take too much importance to this than this particular drawing which was an unidentified figure of a male or female appeared to be shapeshifted in another drawing after it and bite on another figure on another drawing after it.

"That was the beginning of the dark cravings," Reuven said, seeing what she noticed.

"Dark Craving?" Adeline asked in a whisper which was loud enough for Rueven to hear.

"This did not mean Reuven answered immediately. He took a short pause before he finally answered her

"The day, one of the werewolves attacked a village, and hunted the villagers." He explained.

"Why?" Adeline whispered.

"Every werewolf just like the vampires who enjoyed drinking blood, enjoys preying on the humans so that he may boast of his strength and he would gain respect among his pack," Reuven explained.

Even when Adeline remembered the vision she saw from the book she picked in the open belofte and indeed knew that the story which she could now see carved on the wall was the story of the birth of the vampires, she would not compromise her goal to pick revenge on her kind who sought her life.

"Were you the Alpha at this time also?" Adeline asked anyway.
