I woke up to the unbearable sound of the alarm, it was nine in morning, I proceeded to do my morning routine before I went out with that coffee guy.
After I took a shower, I decided to wear a black bra underneath a long sleeve dotted see-through top of the same color, for the bottom I went with a high-waist black leather pants and a high black leather boots.
My fashion sense is black leather, half of my closet is black, and the other half is leather black. Finally I let my straight dark brown hair down, put on some nude lipstick, used my nude eye shadow palette and I'm ready to go.
I rode my motorcycle and drove between the cars, I arrived late at 10:30 exactly, while he was waiting since ten sharp.
"You're late" he announced.
"In my clock I am never late." I replied.
"Well let's get going."
"Aren't we going to start with my fresh cupcake since you decided to meet here?"
"I wanted to take you somewhere new but if you.."
"Every time I eat here it's like the first time"
I walked passed him targeting the cupcake shop.
"Hello, Sariel, unusual to see you here on Sundays?" the kind lady asked.
"Yeah, this is kind of an exception, by the way I never got your name"
She smiled "Casey", and added "So what are you planning on ordering today? Want to taste something new since today is an exception?"
I glanced at him behind me, and decided to change my order for the first time, after all he is changing my life and my rules, and my second rule is "never hangout with anyone." We got past that, hopefully, he won't make me break rule number one, my most important rule.
"I'll have strawberry muffin, please and for him my usual." I smiled.
"I never said I wanted, I'm waiting for my iced coffee."
"Today we both change our orders for the first time, how about that?"
"Then you'll have my iced coffee and I'll order something new for myself," He smiled gently.
We got our breakfast and followed him to his destined eating place.
He took me, to a huge park where people take their dogs out, let their kids play, it was too crowded and joyful for me.
We marched watching the kids play, butterflies swirling with each other until we stopped and he sat on a wooden bench, gesturing for me to sit next to him, I did. And then I noticed petals of a beautiful pink blossom tree falling before us and dancing with the wind before taking their place in the calm river.
"Romantic for someone who don't even know each other's names." I announced.
"I can guess your name pretty easily." He smugged.
"So do you want to play guess each other's name? I'll go first since it was my idea." I stated
"Go ahead give it your best."
I placed my hand on my cheek to give me a better thinking.
I took a few seconds then blurred it all out in one breath.
"Noah? Ace? Blake? Brett? Tyler? Corey? Jeffrey?"
His expressing showed me I was wrong in all ways, before he could say I failed I tried one more time, "Shawn? Or Kieran? Or wait Aiden."
"Nope, all those were not even near it." He smirked
"Oh c'mon, give me a hint at least."
"I'll give you the first letter, k"
"Aha, that's easy, um, Kai?" He shook his head, "Maybe Kayden or Kevin? What about Kade?"
"Not even close."
"Damn it."
"Kieran, Kieran Beckett."
He placed his palm on his knee, "My turn,… You look like a Hailey to me."
"What! No way, I don't look like a Hailey"
"Then how about Alessia?"
"Nope."
We kept going like that for at least ten minutes. His stubbornness to find out on his own what my name was, was kinda cute.
"Fuck, ok I give up, tell me."
"Who said I was gonna? You said you're gonna guess my name that doesn't mean I'm going to tell you."
"You're joking right? I spent ten minutes trying to guess your name and when curiosity got the best of me you turn me down?"
"Sariel, My name is Sariel."
"Oh," His hazel eyes looking deep into mine, "That's a unique name, I approve."
"Hah, who asked for your approval?" I smiled.
"You're cute when you smile, I finally got to see your smile." He smiled back.
"Ok are you done flirting?"
"I haven't even started." He laughed.
"What about your last name?"
"We'll leave it unknown for now, you know to keep the mystery alive."
"Hah, fine, I won't try to guess." We giggled.
We finished our breakfast and he decided it was time for some action.
He invited me to his car, and we headed to our next destination.
If someone else was in my place I would have told her not to take his car, maybe a bus or a train, but I don't really care, I can take care of myself, and him if he tried to do anything, and I think he knows that already. Plus I think I can trust him, that's a bit strange for me I always keep my distance and never reveal my true name to anyone, but I just felt like it. If he by anyway break that tiny thread of trust I'm letting him have, I'm going to break his scull in tiny little pieces.
After some driving, we parked under a tree in the middle of nowhere even though there was a lot of other cars, I wonder where he took me now.
"Where are we?" I asked curiously.
"Wait and see."
We marched a bit, until we arrived in front of a huge golden gate, he saluted the guards and entered.
"This is it" He said proudly.
"Seriously, you want me to embarrass you here in front of everyone?" I teased.
"If you know how to use a normal gun doesn't mean you know how to use a paintball gun too."
"Don't underestimate me." I laughed.
"We are gonna be on the same team anyway."
"Because you're scared I would win." I winked.
He smirked and lead me inside a small room where other people were preparing for battle. I wore the safety kit, took my paintball gun, checked if it was loaded and went outside.
People were fighting for their life, running, jumping, hiding, everything they could to not get shot. The obstacle was astonishing, dozens of flour bags sorted to take cover behind.
He came out of the room looking like a warrior, he stood beside me and told me to wait for the next game which we will be joining.
Ten minutes later, it was our time to shine, it was a duo battle, we positioned ourselves, and waited for the green light.
"Whoever gets more people wins, you in?"
"Ha, of course I'm in." I looked at him serious right in the eyes.
The game began; we needed to protect each other while trying to hit as many persons as we can. I glanced over the wall to see two persons trying to find shelter, unfortunately it was too late for them. I aimed and hit them both in split seconds, Kieran turned and found me arrogantly staring at him, he chuckled while taking back his focus.
He took then three without letting them blink, I rushed over to the next shielding flour bags, and headshoted a guy, then realizing someone is behind me loading his gun, I rotate firmly and secured my aim to the middle of this stomach.
My eyes were trying to finding Kieran I see him pointing up five with his hand, I knew what he meant, while I was still at four.
"Don't be sad, I'm a pro at this game no one can beat me." While taking another shot and bringing another one down.
I look around me there was a duo ahead of me and one at the side, I hoped over the protecting bags, while shooting them both down, I glanced at the side guy, found him shaking in place, I gave him a goodbye sign and shot him.
I ran over to take shelter, exposed I shoot down one on the left then turn and another one on the right. Safe now, I searched for my rival, "Ten, what about you?" he whispered behind my back.
I twirl to face him, by surprise I shot someone behind him saving him and my score.
"Ten," I responded, "Draw, let's see who wins."
I stood shooting the last duo down.
I smiled proud of myself for not letting him win again. I'm here because I lost to him already, no need for another loss. He clapped slowly for me congratulating me for passing him. I took off my safety glasses, and yelled "Twelve."
"I actually didn't know you would beat me." He laughed, taking off his glasses too.
"Told you, you will regret bringing me here."
"But, I did not regret it." He walk passed me pointing to the changing room.
We changed back into our clothes, and head out back to the car. I didn't notice at first but his car is sublime, it's a blood red matte BMW with blue LED lights underneath the car. It was one of the most stunning cars I've ever seen.
The car ride was mostly silence, so I decided to break the ice, "So where to now?" He kept driving in silence, no response.
"Oh so you mad I beat you in your favorite game?" I chuckled.
He smirked, "Hell no, it's just a surprise."
He drove straight to a restaurant, I'm glad it was time to eat cause I was getting hungry and that becomes dangerous for anyone around me. He parked his car and we entered, "One reservation for two people in the name Beckett." He said to the hostess on the front door of a big fancy restaurant. Man in suits, woman in elegant dresses worth a fortune. I hated these places, they offer expensive food and then bring you a fancy steak, plus they don't have burgers.
"Why are we here?"
"To have lunch obviously"
"To have lunch or for you to show me how much money you have?" I responded.
"Hah, no aren't you hungry cupcake?"
"Yeah hungry but not for here"
"Oh so where to you wanna eat?"
I gave him a sweet smile "A burger place."
And then we were sitting in a burger diner.
We ordered two big double cheeseburgers, and ate them like it was our first time eating food since forever.
"So your favorite food is burger?" He asked swallowing his enormous bite.
"Obviously" I responded taking another bite.
We finished eating, and decided to ask questions to get to know each other better, it was his idea.
"I'll start, so where are you from." He leaned curiously.
"Oh so we start with boring questions?"
I have nothing to hide, I can actually tell him everything about me except everything related to killing, my records say I am a normal person like everyone, so unless I get caught, my real self is safe, "I am from a small town in Virginia, I lived there almost all my childhood."
"What? Really? I lived there for a few years, I am actually from Pennsylvania"
"Cool, so what do you do for a living?"
"I am an employee in a multi millionaire company, what about you?"
So what do I tell him I do? This lie will cost me everything if I don't find the right one, I've never really thought about it since I don't talk to anyone, he knows that I own a boxing club which is true, I can tell him I'm unemployed, and I get my money from the club, but if he saw my ride that would surely be suspicious, I should have thought about that before.
I suddenly get a text message from Blyke saying 'Estate agent', and that motherfucker is a genius.
"I am an estate agent." I smiled knowing I finally found a legal job for myself. Wait, how did he know I was thinking of… that fucking jerk, I for a moment forgot he has my device tracked and can listen to any conversation nearby, plus he can follow us everywhere with his gold eye tech where he can hack into any security camera anywhere in the world.
"Oh, I didn't take you as a saleswoman." He tilted his head.
I wouldn't even imagine myself too, but that's what my friend Blyke want me to be, he doesn't let me follow my dreams, poor me.
"Why not? And I am very good at my job, I take all the most expensive mansions and villas, darling" I leaned back proud of my fake work.
"Wait, did I hear you right? Did you just call me darling?" He beamed.
"Don't get excited, it's not neither a flirt nor a compliment." I insisted.
"We'll get to that later, so um what is your biggest dream? Even if you think it is impossible to achieve."
Without thinking twice I stated, "To get rid of every single evil soul in this planet." When I realized what I just said I thought immediately of another 'big dream' to cover for that. Or well anything to cover for what I just said.
"I mean I wish I could." I assured.
"That is really a big dream, I hope too we can get rid of them but I think there is already someone taking care of a small pourcentage."
Silence. After what he said I couldn't say anything back, I felt like he was talking about me.
We sat there staring at each other, then I got another text from Blyke that shitboy must be listening to our conversation, it said 'By how stupid you are, I really don't know how you are considered the most famous and dangerous assassin.' That motherfuck-… deep breath, I deleted the message even though our text messages are all untraceable and proceeded to my next question.
"What is your biggest secret?" I stared into his eyes deeply, asking seriously.
For a second he thought about entrusting me with it, I felt he wanted to tell me, he wanted to tell someone but instead he just shut me out, "Let's keep that for another time" he smiled through hid hidden pain. I could feel this is a secret he can't tell me just like mine.
We talked for another hour about random stuff, until darkness started to consume light every passing minute.
Another silent car ride took us to the amusment park, to change to mood and have some fun.
"The amusment park? Really? Ha, it's been ages since I last came here."
He gave me a bright smile and went inside, I followed. People screaming so loud I could barely hear my thoughts, the amusement park, I used to come here every weekend with my family, I can't remember what it looks like anymore if he didn't bring me here, this brings back so many memories.
We started at the gigantic wheel, seeing everyone from the top, people looked like ants, but each one of that person has a life, a lover, a family, I wish I could protect them all and end all suffering right now, for them and myself, how life could be easier and beautiful.
"The view is amazing," I said after the wheel went up again for the third time.
"Yeah, I know" He went silent for a second then added, "I used to come here with my brother, he loved the roller coasters, but I have no one to come with anymore so I thought about coming with you." He was starring into the night sky, with pain in his eyes, he seems to have a lot of troubles and pain, I wish he could tell me, maybe I can help him.
"What happened?" hoping he would open up this time.
"He just can't anymore"
I didn't ask any further, he seems like he don't want to talk about it, how stupid of me to think he would open up, when I haven't even told him my last name, how can he trust me, when I probably look so shady to him.
We then went inside the haunted house and almost all the rides until we begin to feel sick. When we got into the roller coaster I could tell he was happy, he got to ride it with someone again just like I was, but deep down we both wanted to be with that someone else, we always rode it with.
We sat silently watching the stars, thinking, just us and our thoughts, for half an hour, and then I asked, "Why me of all people did you want to take out on a date for the whole day, and you don't even know me."
"I just felt connected to you, the second you bumped into me, and then destiny made us cross paths again in the shooting range."
"So you think it's our destiny to be together? Funny, I don't do relationship so you can kiss that fate goodbye." I laid down on the smooth grass, gazing at the stars.
"That's what you think now, but we'll be seeing a lot of each other." He winked at me.
I rotate my head 180 degrees, and observed him gazing at the stars, he looked quite handsome, his glowing green hazel eyes met the light of the moon, the soft wind blowing in his chestnut messy hair, he turned his face watching me staring deeply into his eyes. Then I realize he caught me staring.
"You are staring." He raised an eyebrow.
"I am questioning myself, how did I go on a date with such an ugly guy, I am literally way out of his league."
He laughed sharply, "You clearly are out of my league." He smiled gently, making my heart fluster. We kept staring into each others eyes until I received a call from Amber. I declined the call, "I need to go, It was a good day, thank you."
"Do you want me to get you somewhere?"
"Oh no thank you, you did so much today"
"I'll see you soon." He waved.
I got up and sprinted my way out of here.
I took a taxi, and went straight to Amber's house. Amber is my childhood friend she knows everything about me, just her and Blyke know my secret. I trust her with my life even though she is a police officer. I get all the information I want, and all the records of rapist and criminals. She was the shoulder to lean on when the accident happened. I felt bad for leaving Kieran like that after everything he did today, but Amber doesn't call me unless it's something urgent so I had to leave.
