Moment of truth

SAHARA lay spread-eagled on the second floor of the tallest residential building in the camp. His external frame was damaged beyond repair and his internal systems were critically compromised. The explosions had destroyed his wings and ripped his armor to shreds. Even parts of his face had been blown up by the blasts.

With heavy steps and a heavier heart, Kevin walked up to the android. SAHARA had killed over a dozen people and laid waste to Cassandra's convoy. There was nothing Kevin could do to reverse the damage, but by taking down the android, he had prevented a greater catastrophe.

As SAHARA laid his eyes on Kevin, his primary objectives flashed in front of his eyes. A string of executable commands appeared before him, but none of them worked. The android's system was so badly damaged; it refused to respond to user inputs. He could neither activate his weapons nor his defense systems.
