“Are you sure that’s all that was on your mind?” Celia asked.

“Well then, thank you so much for the compliment,” Celia responded. “I was just concerned because you have a habit of telling people that we’re married.”


“Are you guys not married?” Lillian asked. 


“Not officially, but we’re getting ready to do that,” Carter replied. 


“What is ‘officially’?” Lennie asked. 


“It means that we haven’t yet decided about that,” Celia responded quickly.


“But you are already living here,” Lillian stated. 


“We still need to have a wedding,” Carter responded with a broad smile.


Celia did not have the heart to put up an argument in front of the children.
