When she awoke the next day, everything was clear in Celia’s mind, not like in the past, when she had woken up in shock and was appalled after a night with him. 


She heard sounds in the bathroom, so she assumed that he was taking a shower. 


The children then came bounding into the room. “We have to go back to the amusement park!” Lennie shouted. 


“Yes, can we go again, please?” Lillian begged. 


“Children, we came here just so that I could have a break before starting with serious work on my new project,” Celia responded. “We have to go back home to San Francisco so that I can start my new design.”


Carter came out of the bathroom then, fully dressed. 


“I can take you there again today,” he promised. “Then your mother can do some sketching in this beautiful place while we are away. This is a picturesque setting for art,” he concluded with a smile in Celia’s direction.
