“You shouldn’t let go so easily!” Celia exclaimed before running after Lennie with Lillian in her arms.
“Put me down, I want to go swing!” Lillian yelled out.
“Lennie come back here!” Celia screamed.
“Oh, what the heck!” Carter exclaimed. “Let them play in the playground for a while. We did promise.”
Celia could see Lennie in front of her clearly, so she slowed down and placed Lillian on the ground.
“Go after your brother and don’t talk to strangers!” she shouted as Lillian ran after Lennie as fast as she could.
There was enough open space for Celia and Carter to see the children at all times.
“They lose their minds in places like these,” Celia remarked with a chuckle.
“I have so much to learn,” Carter responded with a slightly embarrassed look on his face.
Celia suddenly felt sorry for him. The twins were holding onto the swings, so there wasn’t any time to ponder Carter’s feelings.
