Chapter 38: Family Honeymoon

“Why can’t I say that I want to become a good husband?” Carter asked in surprise.

“Why?” Celia repeated, surprised. “Didn’t you tell various people that we’re already married? In their minds, you started working on being a good husband a while ago already,” Celia explained.

“Oh, I understand what you mean,” Carter responded. “But is it really still necessary to maintain that lie?”

“Our integrity is at stake if we were to come out with the truth,” Celia explained. “Our parents might be upset for a little while, but social media fans will be seriously outraged. Nobody wants to be lied to.”

“We can always create some fake photos and statements then,” Carter joked. “For just in case someone wants to be sure that we were married before our wedding day.”

“Well, we’ll have to make time to discuss this,” Celia responded. “Let me go and check on the kids.”
