Misconception

"Retainer, aren't those the people that tried bullying us yesterday when we arrived at the inn" A blue haired loli girl pointed to Leon's seat.

Arthur looks towards the place the girl pointed, "Do you want me to interfere?" he asked with he gentle tone.

"They are bad people and they didn't learn their lesson yesterday" she replied him.

"Obviously..." he said observing what was going on, 'he looks like a new player... and their names are in red...which means they are player killers, it wasn't in red yesterday though...' Arthur stood up, "Don't leave here...I'll be back now" he said, glancing at the girl again before he finally heads to Leon's table.

'What do I do about these thugs...' As Leon thought to himself, Arthur arrived.

"What are you doing? Bothering a young man" Arthur said, resting his hand on the hilt of his sword.

"Uh? You again?" One of the thugs said, as they were already Gather around Leon (seven of them) with one seated. The thug seated looked at Arthur's face.

"Who is he?" The thug sitting asked.

"Oyakata, he's the one we talked about..." one of them replied.

"Oh, the guy that beat you till you had one hp left?"

"Yes Oyakata"

The man stood up and faced Arthur who's eyes did not shake, not for a second, he had a gratifying demeanor and he sustained it even when the man stared closer.

Leon stood up. It immediately attracted the attention of the man.

"Are you seriously going to do this here? There are both NPCs and players here, and you can't tell them apart. You could ruin your reputation and no NPC would want to trust you."

The people in the tavern were already dashing glances at them and talking amidst themselves.

"Tchi" The man suck his tongue and walked away, along with the others.

"Thank you" Leon said with a slight bow.

Arthur smiled, "I can't watch those guys bully people, especially new players"

"Aha" Leon replied, with a scratch on his head.

"But why is a new player like you in this region, the difficulties of this region is high. The monsters level are high too" Arthur said.

"I've been here for a while. It's great here" Leon replied.

"Okay then, do you want have my contact so incase they bother you again. I'm still in town"

"No it's fine" Leon replied with a smile and bow.

Arthur nodded with a soft smile on his face. He turned to go to his seat.

His legs suddenly stopped, as he was consumed in shock, "Damnit, I was very foolish to trust her words" Arthur said, gritting his teeth.

Leon sat back down after Arthur had turned, even though he heard what Arthur said, he pretended not to.

'I shouldn't be in other people's business' he was about to start eating when Arthur turned back.

'No! no! why?!' Leon cried in his mind

"Do you know your way around this city?" Arthur asked.

"Yea, sure I do" 'I've been here for four months so how will I not'

"Please I need your help, I'm sorry to burden you with this. But a NPC I'm escorting just slipped within my grasp. And I need to find her before she goes too far"

Leon sighed, 'I'd really love to turn him down...but' Leon stood up. The attendant came to him immediately, "Are you done sir? Your bill is 76 Ternatis"

"Put it on my tab" Arthur said.

"Yes sir" The attendant bowed and left.

Leon looked at Arthur, "I'll help" he said.

"Thank you" Arthur replied and they both walked out of the tavern together.

"She's an NPC right? where do you think she's likely to go?" Leon asked.

"Into the forest?...and deep into it..." Arthur said with a strong gaze.

Leon observing his gaze, 'looks like he's on a quest, his eyes are really serious about this'

"But she has never been to this territory before, and we reached here using the railway...so it would take a while for her to figure out her way to the forest. If you know a faster route, can you please help me ?"

"No problem, judging from your reaction, this has happened before"

"Yes, in Kont'el, and few times before we reached Kont'el"

"Why though" Leon asked as they began walking.

"Are you trying to pry into my quest?"

"Forget I asked" Leon said and they continued silently to the forest which was at the northern end of the city.

...

After a wait of ten minutes, Arthur was beginning to get nervous.

"Are you sure this is it?"

'This guy is delaying my death...' "Yes I am, I've been in this city for four months and I've used this route for farming several times"

"Okay, I'm sorry I doubted you. This is just very personal" Arthur said as he tapped his feet. He raised his brow suddenly and placed his hands on his sword, getting in a stance to unsheath it and strike.

"What are you doing?" Leon asked in surprise.

Tessa dropped on the ground, making a huge tremor but the ground did not break.

'She didn't fall from a far height, which meant it's possible it was a really long jumo' Arthur thought to himself and spoke, "Identify yourself"

"Oh, her, she's a friend.." Leon said.

"Who the hell is a friend and why are you with that kidnapper" Tessa said facing Leon as she equipped a wand, with a purple coloured orb on top of it.

"What do you mean kidnapper" Leon said, confused and looking back and forth at Tessa and Arthur.

Arthur sighed, "She must have told you that I'm a kidnapper"

"Restrain!"

Immediately Tessa shouted, six purple colored thread balls swiftly floated over to Arthur and spread out sticky webs of the same color.
