Conductor

"And we have a winner!"

Imai grinned as she won another bet meaning she had made about five times the amount of money she previously had. In front of her were chips worth about five hundred thousand berries.

"Captain, you're amazing!"

"Your luck is too good!"

Imai chuckled. Luck? She didn't need something like that, in fact, she would call herself the most unlucky person in the world. She would attract trouble wherever she went.

It wasn't as if she had something like plot armor like in the fairy tales. She could bleed and she could die. Only with pure skill could she have survived this long.

"Thank you, I guess I am just that lucky huh." Imai said.

"I have to say, I'm very impressed with your ability. But that's expected since you are the Fifth Emperor, it's like you excel in everything." Baccarat said, taking off her gloves.

Imai noticed the strange action and saw her walking towards her. She thought it was quite suspicious and saw the hand about to make contact with her skin. She suddenly had a bad feeling.

Imai grabbed Baccarat's wrist and smiled at her.

"Thank you for the compliment, but I don't like being touched." Imai said.

"So you figured it out? Your intuition really is amazing." Baccarat said. "You see, I'm the user of the Lucky Lucky fruit. I take luck away from those I touch."

"What an interesting ability you have, no wonder you tried to improve the relationship between us. It was all an act wasn't it? For this moment." Imai said.

"I have to applaud you for figuring everything out." an unfamiliar voice said. Slowly walking down the stairs a tall and muscular man with slicked-back green hair who wore a pink suit and pants.

"Let me introduce myself, I am the owner of this casino, Gild Tesoro. You may know me as the Casino King." Gild said.

"Casino King…huh." Imai muttered. "Let me guess, using Baccarat's devil fruit ability, you were able to make tons of money. And those who lost will be indebted to you until they're able to return their money. But that's impossible since they don't have any luck at all."

"That's exactly how it is, but what can you do about it? What will you do about it? Remember, even if you're the Fifth Emperor, no one here is on your side." Gild said.

"Who said I needed everyone to be on my side? There's only two of them that I need and they're already here." Imai said.

"Yes, captain!"

"Ready when you are."

The two appeared beside Imai and focused on the enemies in front of them. Their blades had been unsheathed and were ready to attack from any moment.

"Haha, you're the first one to ever take my money. But what's mine is always mine, you won't be leaving this place alive." Gild said. "Get them!"

Imai cursed under her breath. This was what she meant by being unlucky, chaos followed her wherever she went.

Even though sometimes it was partially her fault, but we aren't going to talk about that.

Imai's eyes widened when a wave of gold was created using Gild's devil fruit ability.

"Take a good look, Fifth Emperor! This is my ability, the Goru Goru no Mi!" Gold exclaimed.

Imai turned herself into lightning to outmaneuver the homing missile created by gold that was chasing her.

The back of the room exploded and the wave of impact caused them to be thrown at the room.

Uta and Rei were able to recover easily as well as Gild's teammates. As for the innocent civilians, Imai didn't see anyone that was in grave danger.

"I see how you were able to be acknowledged by the World Government, you were able to create wealth at will." Imai said.

"What is the use of power if you don't use it to its full potential? Enough chattering, let's fight!" Gild said.

"I hope you're lucky yourself because this won't be easy for you." Imai said.

She glanced at her two teammates and noticed that they were doing fine against Baccarat, Tanaka, and Dice.

"Muahahahaha! Armor Enhancement!" Gild exclaimed.

Imai looked over her shoulder to see that they were covered in gold armor. His devil fruit ability was strong and there was a possibility he had already awakened.

"But that isn't all, watch this."

Imai watched as gold appeared from the ground and surrounded Gild like a cocoon. It kept becoming bigger and bigger until he had turned into a giant robot made of gold.

"Seriously? Why can't he just stay still and be defeated like the rest of them." Imai muttered.

But whether or not he was a human or robot or whether he was made of gold didn't matter.

After all, her blades could cut anything. But she wanted to play around with her devil fruit ability too.

A giant fist suddenly appeared in front of Imai, she quickly jumped into the air and flew onto the arm of the robot.

"Hmm, let's see." Imai muttered as she stabbed the arm.

It was unbelievably strong, maybe even more so than steel itself.

Gild couldn't tell if Imai was dumb or not. She was in front of something that could potentially destroy her.

Yet she was calm, too calm for Gild's liking.

This angered him, people feared him, yet this person didn't even see him as a threat.

With a few quick buttons and moving around a few sticks. The robot swung at Imai using its other arm.

Gild frowned when Imai effortlessly dodged all of his attacks. No matter what he did, everything he was doing ended up in vain.

"You know, I have to applaud you, Gild. To be able to create something like this, it must've taken a lot of time and hard work." Imai said.

"What are you trying to get at? Don't play any games with me! I'll kill you!" Gild exclaimed.

Imai chuckled, "Remember, high risk, and higher return. Unfortunately, you took the risk, and have met me."

"What are you talking about?l

"Because I am a lightning human and gold is a great conductor for electricity."

"Wait, you don't mean-"

"That's right, Gild. It's time for you to say goodbye."
