CHAPTER FOUR

CZELVIE did the sign of the cross before she enters the room. She thought she'd see the vampires upon entering but was surprised to see it empty. There's actually four more doors after the main door. There's also a huge living room and a transparent door heading to the kitchen. It's as if she entered an entire house. Is that how a dormitory room usually looks like?

She felt relieve to know that it's still as if they're staying in different rooms. The question is, which one is hers? Which one is still not occupied?

She froze again after they all came out from their respective rooms at the same time. This time, they are already wearing school uniform. The designs were just the same with hers. The only difference is that her uniform was black while theirs is white. Maybe that's how they differentiate humans from vampires. How ironic.

"You must be aware that there's a welcome party for new students," said Scarlet. She's looking at her so she guesses Scarlet is talking with her.

"I-I do."

"Then hurry up and wear your uniform, Czelvie Grace. We'll wait for you outside."

Scarlet went out of the room. So as the two guys. Wait, what did she just say? They're going to wait for her? And how did she know her name? She don't remember introducing herself to them.

She heard that vampires have special abilities. Reading her mind must be one of them. Does all of them can do that? Her cheeks felt hot remembering how she describe their looks in her mind. It made her do the sign of the cross again.

"Please, Lord, let me live longer."

"HER beauty might be above average but apart from that, she's all normal. I can't smell anything extraordinary about her," said Khai while leaning on the wall with his arms crossed.

"I can't read anything suspicious in her mind as well," said Scarlet who's sitting ay the balcony's railings with her legs crossed. "What about you, Xent? What did you see?"

"She's nothing special," he answered shortly.

Actually, no one of them is talking verbally. They're conversing through their mind.

Khai can know what kind of creature someone is through their smell. Scarlet can read everything someone have thought in his entire life. While he can see everything someone experienced since birth until present.

Based on what his members said, it's either their abilities didn't work with Czelvie or there's really just nothing special about her.

But honestly, though he said that there's nothing special about Czelvie, there's actually a part of her past that he can't penetrate. It's like someone's protecting her memory.

He decided to keep it to himself until he finds out who Czelvie Grace Asombrado really is that she's being treated like a princess and protected by an elite vampire team like them.

CZELVIE feels so awkward walking towards the event hall. She feels like all the students were looking at her, especially those normal students like her. Obviously, it's because she's being surrounded by vampires.

The vampire named Khai is behind her. The female vampire is in front of her. And though there's a little distance, Xent is walking side by side with her. They were so tall that she feels small for the first time.

"I-I'll go to our area," she said, referring to the left side of the hall where students wearing black are at.

The vampires looked at each other before the guy named Xent nod. She immediately went to the farthest vacant seat. She was finally able to breath comfortably.

"Are you close with them? You're friends with vampires? How?" asked a girl who's beside her. Like her classmates in her previous school, she looks mesmerized by those vampires as well.

"No," she denied. She's just telling the truth. "They're just my roommates."

"Roommates?!"said the girl beside her, and the other girl behind them in unison.

"Seriously?" asked the girl behind her who's lips were so red.

Looking at these girls' faces, she can't help but compare them with her classmates before. At their age, they doesn't even wear lipstick. But looking around, it seems like everyone in there is wearing make up on their faces. Is that really how rich teens looks like at school?

"How did that happened? Humans and vampires stays in different floors. That's in our guide book. We're not even allowed to go beyond the third floor."

After her new friends, Trixy and Lara told her about the guidebook, she wasn't able to concentrate in the event anymore. And when she got back inside her room, she read the guide book right away. And it was really stated there that the fourth floor and the higher floors are limited to human's access. So why is she there? What if there was just a mistake in Paramount's system? Maybe she got into the wrong room!

The next morning, she went to the registrar's office to ask about it. It's suffocating to stay around vampires. She feels like they could kill her anytime.

"There's nothing wrong with your room designation, Ms. Asombrado."

Her room is already suspicious to begin with but what made it more shady is that the registrar did not even look at her computer to check.

There's really something wrong with the University. First, someone threatened Mother Theresa just to send her there. Second, everyone seems to know her. Third, she's being surrounded by vampires.

What's really going on? Why they're treating her differently? What does she have to do with vampires? She's just a mere human being.

"IT seems like she also doesn't have idea what's going on," said Khai while they're watching Czelvie at a distance. "It seems like only the Queen knows everything," he looks at him. "Or maybe, you're just keeping it from us."

How he wish that's the situation. Farrah may have the highest rank as of the moment in the vampire system, but he thought that doesn't matter between them. Honestly, Xent is starting to feel hurt that the Queen is keeping something from him after he's been loyal to her for so many years.
