CHAPTER 3

Chp3 TBATE

...The room went silent for a while. The silence was broken by mom yelling dramatically, "THEY ARE ONLY FOUR REY!!! BESIDES, YOU SAID YOU'D BE ABLE TO TEACH THEM!!!"

"YEAH...BUT I NEVER EXPECTED OUR SONS TO BE ABLE TO MANIPULATE MANA AT SUCH DEGREES AT THE AGE OF FOUR. THEY ARE GENIUSES. WE ARE ONLY GOING TO HOLD THEM BACK IF THEY DON'T GET A PROPER TUTOR. THEY HAVE SO MUCH POTENTIAL!!!" dad crosses his arms dramatically, and defends against mom's refute.

In the background, Arthur and I were throwing vegetables at eachother. He was on mum's side and I was on dad's.

Then the battle arena vibes suddenly vanish and we are back at the dining table.

Then mom continues her rant, "I'm not letting my children leave home to go to a city hundreds of miles away!"

Dad counters, "Xyrus isn't just some city! And I'll make sure that my friends take care of them!"

Arthur and I glance at each other and heave a long drawn sigh.

This catches a certain arguing couple's attention.

Dad slap the table. Looking at us, he inquired, "Art, Adrian, you both have a say in this as well. Do you both want to go to big city and have a real teacher, or waste your potential staying here??? "

Me and arthur looks at each other and I signal to Arthur to say something. I looked away quickly and he was muttering something along the lines of 'traitor'. Thinking for a while, he made a cute and innocent face and pulls out the big guns, "Can't mommy and daddy come with us and meet the teacher together?"

They glance at each other. "Zehahahaha, I guess we forgot that option!" dad roars boisterously.

"Yeah dear, I feel that this is better", mom nods in agreement.

"Then it is decided. We are going to the XYRUS CITY!!"

Later when mom dropped us off at the study room, Arthur starts reading books again. As for me, I was mediating. I could feel something. I'm very close to attaining it.

Is it enlightenment?

I suddenly felt some changes in my body. My body was oozing dark power. I instinctively got an idea about the new power. I can mold it shape as I please.

Let's try it out first. Let's turn it into a knife. I tried to change it changed into knife. Then I tried forks, spoons, daggers, etc, all with my dark power. I still couldn't make swords or bows because it needs more mana and I don't have enough to mold it.

I can only keep it up for 30 seconds or so but it is still useful.

Then mum comes in to room and takes Arthur's books away from him and got me out of my meditation and said, "You both should get to bed now. Tomorrow will be a long day".

She tucks me and arthur into bed and kisses our forehead and says "Goodnight my babies", like always, and exited the room.

So tomorrow is the first step towards gaining my power back. I can't wait to have my powers back.

And father said some party named 'Twin Horns' is gonna come tomorrow. The party consists of two conjurors and three augmenters. Father says they are pretty strong. Let's see tomorrow.

*NEXT MORNING*

Arthur and I were walking side by side on an uneven path and mom and dad were behind us, carrying some luggage.

Walking a bit further, we could see a guy with red hair and a scar across his nose and a group of people waiting for us.

He and dad gave each other a side hug and dad said, "Thanks again for taking us with you on this trip! Fellas I want you to meet my sons, the one with auburn hair is Arthur, and the one with black hair is adrian. Introduce yourself, both of you".

I went first as the eldest. With a curtsy bow I introduced myself, "My name is Adrian Leywin. Thank you for coming with us to Xyrus city".

Arthur quickly followed after me, "My name is Arthur Leywin. Thank you for coming with us".

The red head man squats down, ruffles out hair and says, "Such good manners...are you both sure that your dad is Rey?"

Suddenly I felt someone try to grab me from behind. I narrowly dodge, and then the hands went for Arthur who couldn't escape from the clutches.

Then a big boobs onee-san could be seen crushing Arthur in to her boobs and almost suffocating him. Phew...I dodged it in time.

She held Arthur and said, "Aww I missed these two. They are just so precious, be thankful you look like your mom," and the last line was more of a whisper.

Arthur looked at me for help but I just turned away, barely containing my laughter.

He looks annoyed and he muttered under his breath, 'traitor'.

Seeing Arthur get crushed to death by boobs, a big man came in to rescue him. He lifts arthur and puts him down and gives him a thumbs up.

I turned to the right and near the carriage, a girl with black hair, red eyes, and a black battle suit with two daggers on her back, nods at us and goes back into the carriage.

Then suddenly from behind, a women introduced herself, "Don't mind her, she just needs to get used to you". She offers both of us handshake and says, "Nice to meet you Adrian, Arthur...my name is Helen Shard". We accept her handshake and nod.

We then got into the carriage and began our journey to Xyrus city.
