Jason was deep asleep when Alicia woke up, her eyes blue. She looked much better but weak. She sat on the bed and looked at the sleeping Jason.

She bends slightly down and stroke his face. There were traces of love in her action.

"I am sorry I caused so much pain in your life. I wish I could take everything back, but I can't. I hope to repay you in the future." She said, smiling, "You don't know how much I wanted to be a werewolf." What? I didn't see that coming. Did you?

"Now. I can be with you and the others. My friend was a beautiful wolf. She would transform and run through the woods while I watched from a distance. She had a pure heart, was kind, and was always there for anyone who needed her help. But my family killed her entire family in a hunt. I saw it. I tried to stop, but I could not. I always wanted to be as beautiful as her." Alicia narrated her story while Jason was pretending to be asleep hear. He was stunned for a moment. He thought he had avenged his dad by turning her, but it seemed it was what she wanted.

"When I was ordered to kill your dad. I didn't have control over my body. I tried to resist this power controlling my boy and mind, but I couldn't. I pierced him, but it really wasn't me. Someone else was controlling me. Now that I think about it, it wasn't the first time something like it happened." Jason, who was asleep, startled Alicia while she wept to narrate. She didn't know he was awake and found the courage to tell her heart out. The number of times they had been together, he was the one doing the talking most of the time.

She found it easier to talk about herself to him. But since his father's death, things have been distant between them.

"What were you saying?" Jason could not pretend anymore. He wanted to know what was going on. He would not be surprised if something like that were going on. With lots of strange creatures coming out of nowhere, anything could happen.

"I am sorry," she said, jumping from the bed.

"Hey, hey, it's okay. I am sorry. I should not let my emotions cloud my judgment" Jason jumped from the bed, going to her. He took her into his arms and hugged her tightly. "I am sorry. You must've had your difficulty as well."

The two sorting out their issue in the room was great but were they aware of the danger they were facing outside. Several figures snooped around the pack territory for the last four hours of sleeping, preparing their ambush. No one expected the event that would unfold as they lowered their guard.

Jason had a lovely time mending their issue in the room and didn't pay attention to the flickering light on the door outside. The shadows outside tried to get in severally but found an invisible barrier.

Miriam seemed to have foreseen the event happening and prepared in advance.

Damian, Carly, and Mitchel had a meeting in the office later.

"What's happening?" Carly wanted to know more. Whatever the Alpha told the rest of the pack was limited. He was hiding something.

"There is a strange occurrence in town. All the people have turned into walking copse. We are yet to know what is happening, but we can't let this slip us. If it's happening there, then we are all in danger. We could be the next target." Damian explained the news he had received lately.

"How? Have you experienced something like this before?' Mitchel asked

"I have. It's the appearance of the dark halos from a different dimension. They are trying to take control of the world but have yet to achieve it. We must destroy them before they completely take over the world. The town is just the beginning" Miriam appeared from the door joining in the conversation. She had long seen this coming. Warning the hunters, they didn't pay attention. Bu thinking of it, it seems they could somehow be involved.

"What do they want?" Carly asked while the rest in the room looked expectantly at her. She walked and drew something in the air. It showed a clear picture of a situation long ago.

"They are looking for a key. It could open the doorway to allow otherworldly creatures from getting her. But it could also allow them to go back home. They have been stuck here waiting for the birth of the key. Now the key has appeared, they are not afraid. They can do the impossible to get their hand to the key," Miriam explained, showing an image of a wizard and a king wolf. Damian stood looking at the image.

"Is that the key?" they all looked at the image, shocked

"Yes. Unfortunately, Jason is the key. If we want to save the world, he has to be protected. But it's going to cost the lives of so many people," Miriam answered, full of sadness

"How is that possible? He is a king wolf. That's why we all felt like bowing to him when he released his powers?' Carly said in a low tone

"Yes. Does he know any of this?" Damian broke the silence.

"No. I will have to inform him," Miriam said, walking out

"Get ready. Mitchel, prepare your team. We have to get to the bottom of this"

"Yes. Alpha"
