DAVEL, THE KING OF WEREWOLVES

One hundred years after the Moon Goddess created hundreds of werewolves, the werewolves lived peacefully in The Full Moon Land.

It got the name 'Full Moon' for a reason, and the reason was that the moon on that land was always in the full moon phase. And the reason behind that phenomenon was that the moon was also the home of the Moon Goddess.

One hundred years after the Moon Goddess granted the pitiful woman's wish, the land of humans was once again peaceful and secure from the vampires.

The werewolves did their job to protect humans from vampires, and the Goddess managed to grant the woman's last wish.

With the werewolf's protection, the woman became the last victim of the heartless vampires from The Shadowed Land.

The werewolves were secretly protecting the humans, but for some reason, the humans finally learned that it was the beings created by the Moon Goddess that had been protecting them for the past hundred years.

With that in mind, people started worshiping the Goddess by building many temples with the Goddess statue inside the temples.

Apart from worshiping the Goddess, those people also appreciated the werewolves created by the Moon Goddess who had been protecting them for years.

The werewolves had indeed become a hero in the eyes of the humans, and it was all thanks to the Werewolf King who had been a good leader for so many years.

Davel was a man of his word. Just like what he said to the Goddess a hundred years ago, he did protect mankind with everything he had.

Even if he had the title of Werewolf King, he was quite humble and often personally went to the human land to protect the people in secret.

Wise and charming. That was the image of the Werewolf King.

All werewolves didn't age, but they could die. If the wolves that the Goddess transformed a hundred years ago were old, then they would look like old humans. However, they would stop aging and would not die from aging. They would only die if they were killed.

Davel was a young white wolf when he turned into a werewolf a hundred years ago. He was the strongest wolf in his pack, and when he transformed into a werewolf, he was also the strongest of his kind.

Having a tall and sturdy build, he had the best charisma to become the Werewolf King.

The long-haired King was in his human form, and he was sitting on his throne tonight, letting his fine white hair cover his shoulders like a curtain.

At that moment, he could see one of his men entering the grande hall and immediately saluted as he stopped walking in front of the throne.

"You've returned from The Shadowed Land?" The King questioned his subordinate in his deep voice.

"Yes, Your Majesty. I just returned from the land of the vampires," replied the subordinate.

There were three mainlands in the world, but humans could not see the two of them. The two were The Full Moon Land and The Shadowed Land.

The Moon Goddess intentionally created a barrier around The Full Moon Land, and the barrier worked for both humans and vampires.

However, when humans couldn't see the land at all, that was different from vampires who could still see it.

Vampires from The Shadowed Land could see The Full Moon Land, but they were unable to enter it because of the barrier the Moon Goddess had put up.

The same rule applied to the werewolves from The Full Moon Land. They could see The Shadowed Land, but they couldn't enter the land because there was also a barrier there.

"Did you find something in The Shadowed Land?" The King asked again because there was indeed something he wanted to know about the creatures on the land.

Unfortunately, his subordinate shook his head weakly before answering, "I have been observing the land from a distance, but there is no strange activity there, Your Majesty."

Davel earnestly listened to the subordinate's report, and he furrowed his brows upon hearing it. "Strange," he commented. "The vampires didn't appear in the human land in recent weeks, and I'm sure there's something wrong with that."

Seeing how the King looked confused, the subordinate decided to voice his thoughts, "Perhaps the vampires have finally admitted defeat, Your Majesty. It's been a hundred years since we started protecting humans following the orders of the Moon Goddess, and vampires can't touch humans after that. They can also rely on animal blood, and maybe they've finally decided to stop preying on humans."

Vampires were nocturnal creatures that only hunted at night. And even if they could no longer hunt humans after the werewolves had started protecting the human lands, they would still look for opportunities to touch humans once in a while.

Davel found it odd if the wicked creatures suddenly changed, and he refused to believe easily that those creatures had finally given up.

Vampires came from the darkest land, and their hearts were also dark with no light that could penetrate them.

Even if they could no longer hunt humans after the werewolves came around, Davel refused to believe that the bloodsuckers had indeed given up.

"Keep observing The Shadowed Land for now, and don't let your guard down. We also still need to patrol the human land every night to ensure the people's safety," Davel finally made up his mind when he refused to take up the matter lightly.

Nodding his head, the subordinate received the King's orders before exiting the grande hall.

After his subordinate left, Davel was alone on the throne. He had made a firm decision, but somehow, he still felt uneasy in his heart. He had a feeling that something bad was about to happen.

Clenching his fists, he brought his blue eyes to look out the hall through the window. There he could see the full moon hanging in the black sky.

"My Goddess, please give your protection to my people and the humans in the human land. Please don't let blood splatter on the human land again."
