Nothing happened in the human land last night. Even if Davel had ordered his men to guard the land, nothing bad had happened there.
Humans could sleep well, and they could even dream of a bright future for their children and also the prosperity of their land.
All the humans smiled last night, and they did not expect that a calamity would befall them today.
It was a clear day, and the sun sat proudly in the blue sky without the distraction of clouds. However, the scorching sun did not stop the creatures from The Shadowed Land from visiting the human land.
There were no werewolves to guide the land because vampires usually couldn't leave their dark land during the day, so when a vampire suddenly ambushed a human, the weak creature could only run and scream while calling out to the Moon Goddess.
Chaos could be heard by the werewolves in The Full Moon Land, and Davel immediately led his men to head to the human land for rescue.
He and his people immediately teleported to human land, but he was surprised to see many corpses lying on the road. So many humans had been sucked in by the vampires, and the sight was like a knife slicing his heart.
Gritting his teeth to suppress his anger, Davel immediately instructed his men to fight the vicious vampires.
'What's going on here? Vampires come from The Shadowed Land, and they should vanish if they are exposed to the sun,' Davel was confused after giving orders to his subordinates, but then he rushed toward them to give support
Werewolves were indeed supernatural beings created by the Moon Goddess, but they relied on their physique when fighting vampires.
A pair of furry ears appeared on top of his head, and all of his fingernails lengthened as they became sharp and pointed. When he opened his mouth, his sharp fangs boldly showed themselves as if ready to rip apart anyone who annoyed him.
His well-built curves were visible through his clothes, and his muscles tensed against the fabric of his forearms, biceps, and chest. His calves were bigger than normal, his back was stretched with layers of muscle, and his neck was noticeably wider at the base.
That was the strongest form of werewolves when their bodies turned into half human and half wolf.
Grabbing one of the vampires, Davel furiously tore the vampire's body apart with his sharp claws. The vampire screamed for mercy, but Davel was furious when he literally ripped the body into pieces.
He thought it would be easy to get rid of the vampires since the creatures only relied on their physique as well, but he was surprised when he glanced at his surroundings.
To his surprise, the other werewolves were suppressed by the vampires.
'What's going on? I can kill vampires easily, but my men are having trouble?'
Davel was dumbfounded once again when he realized that the vampires seemed to be getting stronger because they could suppress the other werewolves with just their physique.
The creatures also had sharp, piercing nails, and the nails pierced the werewolf's body, causing them to cry out in pain.
Davel didn't know what was going on, but he immediately shouted, "Retreat! Bring the living humans to our land and keep yourselves safe!"
The other werewolves were shocked when they heard the King's words.
"Is it okay to bring humans to our land, Your Majesty? Our Goddess never said that it was okay to bring them to our land!" One of the werewolves asked the King in confusion.
Indeed, the Moon Goddess never said that it would be fine for them to bring humans to their land.
If they could protect humans by placing them within the barrier, then it would be easier for the Goddess to protect humans.
But the Goddess didn't do that, and there must be a reason for that.
However, Davel faced a dire situation, and he gritted his teeth as he decided, "Just bring them to the land now! You will know what will happen to them once they are inside the barrier!"
It was a dangerous decision made by Davel, but it was the last resort in his hands because the Moon Goddess didn't even come to save them.
The King used the word 'you' instead of 'we,' and his men noticed the oddity. Therefore, they did not immediately comply with that wish while continuing to fight the vampires.
Davel saw how his men disobeyed his orders, and he shouted once again, "Didn't you hear me? Just back off with the humans! I'll distract these disgusting vampires while you back off!"
Perhaps his men had caught sight of his plan, and that was why they were hesitant to obey the order. They all knew that their King was planning to sacrifice himself.
"You don't have to worry about me! I'm the strongest werewolf, so I can protect myself!" Davel shouted again when he saw his men were still hesitating.
To prove his point, the white werewolf dashed into the group of vampires before jumping up to give them a hard kick. It didn't stop there, and the white werewolf caught the two vampires on their heads and broke their necks easily.
Davel was indeed strong, and the other werewolves had finally started to retreat from that place with the humans.
Out of the corner of his blue eyes, Davel could see how his men had fled with the humans to The Full Moon Land, and he smiled weakly to himself.
'I may be the strongest werewolf, but I might not succeed if I have to fight hundreds of vampires.'
And indeed, Davel was immediately surrounded by those vicious vampires that were stronger than the last time he saw them.
He couldn't even fight back because he was suppressed by the vampires and had no room to move.
He was a wolf, but for some reason, he saw himself as a weak rabbit surrounded by wild tigers.
The vampires started attacking him by slashing at him with their long, sharp nails, and Davel could feel pain all over his body.
He could only hope for the safety of his kind and humans as he began to close his blue eyes.
'I failed to do my job, my Goddess. I'm sorry, but I hope you'll continue to protect my kind and humans after this.'
Davel could only pray in his heart, and the next thing he saw was darkness.
