Davel was indeed the Werewolf King, but he never let anyone in the Full Moon Land help him all the time to the point they would help him while he was bathing too.
No, Davel was not a dictatorial and arrogant King, and he would do most of the things by himself as long as it was within his reach. Therefore, when he heard Lycia say that some nurses would help him take a bath, he was very shocked and couldn't react in time.
It wasn't until Lycia finished examining his physical condition that Davel found his voice again, "I don't need anyone's help to take a bath."
Lycia was seen discussing something with Breyno, and the girl suddenly turned to her after hearing his refusal.
"Are you sure about that, Mr. Clayton?" The female doctor asked. "There is some medical equipment stuck to your body, and it may not be easy for you to clean your body on your own."
Right after Lycia finished speaking, Davel brought his blue eyes to look at his body, and he knew that the female doctor was right about his condition.
There was some unknown equipment stuck to his body, and even if he didn't know the function of those things, he didn't dare to recklessly break free from them.
"I don't feel pain anymore, so you can remove this equipment from my body," replied Davel while glancing at Lycia.
He didn't even know what equipment he had on his body, but he did feel uncomfortable with it around his body. He couldn't even move freely, and he even thought that he looked like a puppet with various things that looked like cords all over his body.
"I'm sorry, but we can't do that, Mr. Clayton," it wasn't Lycia who answered, but it was Breyno. "Your condition still needs to be monitored, and we need the equipment to do the job."
Davel already detested the male doctor, and now that the male doctor dared to argue with him, his dislike increased tenfold.
"Dr. Collins is right," Lycia chimed in as she stood next to the male doctor. "The nurses will only help you clean your body by wiping wet cloths over you, and they won't help you shower in the bathroom when you're naked."
Davel's blue eyes fell on the black-haired girl again, and he was surprised that the girl could be so direct with her words. She could even say the word 'naked' casually, which surprised him.
But when he realized that the girl was a doctor, he thought that it might not be a big deal for her to say such a word.
"If the nurse is just going to help me to wipe my body with a wet cloth, then why don't you do it for me, doctor?" Davel voiced a longer question this time, and his question made the female doctor gasp.
"W-why should I help you wipe your body, Mr. Clayton? That's not my job, and maybe I can't do it better than the nurses," the girl even stuttered while answering his question, and the sight was quite interesting in Davel's eyes.
"I don't feel comfortable with the nurses, so I want you to help me instead of them, doctor," Davel suddenly wasn't stingy with his words anymore, and he even dared to argue with the female doctor.
Perhaps he didn't mean to argue, but he just didn't like imagining how an unknown nurse would help him to wipe his body.
"Perhaps you can help him, Dr. Henderson," Breyno suddenly interrupted, causing the two of them to turn their heads towards him. "You don't have work after this, so you can go straight home after you help Mr. Clayton."
Lycia felt betrayed by the male doctor, but she was different from Davel who looked happy after hearing the male doctor's words.
'I think this guy isn't that bad,' Davel changed his judgment while glancing at the brown-haired man.
"But, Dr. Collins―"
"I think we should talk about Mr. Clayton's condition now, Dr. Henderson."
Breyno didn't even let Lycia finish her protest, and the girl finally frowned at her senior. To her dismay, the male doctor simply smiled at her before turning to the patient.
"Dr. Henderson has checked your condition, and she said that there is nothing wrong with your body," Breyno returned to his professional self as he explained. "But she also told me that you lost your memory, so we have to do a further examination of your body to be able to find the cause."
Davel didn't want to listen to the doctor's explanation. He didn't lose his memory, but he just didn't know anything about this world. They were two different beings, but he knew that he couldn't explain it to the humans of this world.
"But we need your guardian's approval, Mr. Clayton," Breyno continued. "Where are your parents? Dr. Henderson told me you came to this hospital with your parents last night."
Davel really wanted to stop this nonsense, but he couldn't just say that instead of losing his memory, he was just clueless because he was from another world.
"They left the hospital last night, but they said they'd be back today," replied the white-haired man.
The male doctor nodded in understanding before replying, "Then, I'll be back in this ward again after your parents return, Mr. Clayton."
'Maybe you shouldn't come back to this ward forever,' Davel thought, but he still nodded his head in response to the doctor's words.
"Everything is settled, so I will return to my room now, Mr. Clayton," Breyno spoke to the white-haired man before turning to the female doctor. "Now you'd better start helping Mr. Clayton to clean his body. After that, you should hurry home so you can get some rest. Do you understand, Dr. Henderson?"
Lycia pouted when she heard how her senior treated her like a child, but she still nodded her head. Seeing the nonverbal response, Breyno smiled before raising his hand to ruffle the girl's black hair.
The unexpected scene that played out before his eyes made Davel catch his breath. He once again felt displeasure in his heart.
