MONEY IS NOT THE ISSUE

The 'parents' had returned to the hospital, and they did not come empty-handed. Smiling at him as they walked towards the hospital bed, his 'mother' then sat on the edge of the bed before bringing his hand to caress the young man's white hair.

"Are you feeling better, my dear? We're sorry that we can only go back now. Your father had some things to deal with in the company, and I couldn't just leave him alone without helping him."

The woman claiming to be his mother gave him an explanation, but Davel didn't react. He also wanted to avoid her hand, but he held back as he knew that what he was about to do might offend Davel Clayton's mother.

Last night, the couple told him that their family owned several big companies in the country, and that was why they had told him not to worry about anything because they had everything they needed to live in this world.

Davel almost sneered at the story, but he managed to contain himself. Even if he came from a different world, he knew that the humans in this world were also very concerned about money, just like the humans in his own world.

Unlike humans, werewolves didn't care about money because they were just an army of the Moon Goddess. They still needed food to eat, and since they were wolves by nature, they needed to eat meat every day to fulfill their needs.

But, the Moon Goddess only let them consume cooked meat, and that meat came from wild animals in human lands. With that, the Moon Goddess tried to protect humans from wild animals, and she also could protect humans from the wolves' desire.

The werewolves in the Full Moon Land lived on everything that nature provided, and they were different from humans who needed to buy a lot of things to fulfill their daily needs. Now that Davel was also a human, he needed to adapt to the human way of life.

"Has the doctor visited you, son?" It was his 'father' who questioned him as the old man chose to sit on the chair next to the bed.

"Yes," replied Davel. "Dr. Henderson visited me this morning with another doctor, telling me that the other doctor would be my doctor during my stay in this hospital."

His 'parents' seemed to recognize the name mentioned by him, and his 'mother' suddenly smiled broadly at him.

"Why do you call her that, Davel? She's probably the same age as you, and you should call her by her name," the woman replied to him, and there was a hint of excitement in her voice. "But you said that she brought another doctor for you, right? Do you think that doctor is capable enough to be your doctor here?"

Davel felt lazy when it came to telling stories related to a doctor named Breyno Collins, but he had no other choice but to answer the question, "She brought a male doctor, and she said that he was a neu... neu... neu something, and she said he was one of the best doctors in the hospital."

The white-haired young man couldn't even utter a word properly, and his 'parents' laughed at him.

"Is he a neurologist, son?" The father asked in between his laughter. "If he is indeed a neurologist, then he will be able to find out what is wrong with you that caused you to lose your memory. I think it's a good choice to have him as your doctor."

Even his 'father' seemed to trust the male doctor, but Davel chose to remain silent while thinking about something.

He just remembered that Breyno would visit him again today after his 'parents' returned, and after that, he would do some tests on his brain to find out the oddity that caused him to lose his memory.

But he didn't really lose his memory, and he just realized something that took him by surprise.

'I just realized it, but it wouldn't be good if the doctor did some tests on my brain. He'll find that there's nothing wrong with me, and maybe they'll find out that I'm not the real Davel.'

Davel started to feel panicked at the sudden realization. He was very nervous when he thought that Lycia had managed to find out his true identity when the female doctor suddenly mentioned the wolf, and he couldn't imagine what would happen if the other humans found out the truth in the end.

Maybe they would kill him for pretending to be a human in this world?

"Are you okay, honey? Why are you suddenly silent? Are you feeling sick somewhere? Do you want me to call a doctor for you?" It was his 'mother' who spoke to him in a concerned tone, and Davel finally looked back at the woman.

He remembered when Breyno said that he would only start taking tests after his 'parents' gave their consent, so the decision was in his 'parents' hands, right?

There was a sudden light flashing in the pair of blue eyes as Davel suddenly had a great idea.

"Mom..." He said the word, feeling a little strange on his tongue. "Dr. Henderson said my condition was stable, so I don't want to stay in this hospital anymore."

It was the first time Davel had called the woman 'mom,' and her eyes lit up at that. "But you need further tests to make sure you're okay, honey. What if your condition worsens after you leave the hospital? And what about your memory loss?"

It tickled Davel's tongue to simply say that he did not lose his memory, but he held himself back as he considered how to answer the woman's question.

There was nothing wrong with his body, but other people couldn't know it. Therefore, he knew that he had to find another alternative so that he could leave this strange smelly place to start looking for the Moon Goddess.

"If you're worried about my condition after leaving this hospital, how about hiring Dr. Henderson as my personal doctor? You said that money wasn't an issue, right?"
