Reaching the basement, the four people immediately walked out of the elevator and headed for their car.
Not even a second Davel let go of his hand from the red scarf around his neck. He was shocked when Lycia suddenly came close to him only to circle the scarf around his neck while they were still in the elevator earlier.
He didn't feel cold because his 'parents' had asked him to wear a thick jacket, but the girl suddenly wrapped a scarf around his neck. Then he understood that the female doctor just wanted to hide his face from the three strangers in the elevator.
Actually, he didn't understand why Lycia had to hide his face when they met other people in the elevator.
'Is it because of my profession? They said I'm an actor, but I didn't expect that the actor profession would be so embarrassing that the doctor had to help me to cover my face,' Davel thought innocently as he glanced at the girl walking next to him.
He had indeed been impatiently waiting for the time when he would finally be able to leave the hospital to start looking for the Moon Goddess, but he did not expect that this world would be so terrifying.
Earlier they were inside a large box that was probably made of iron or something, and he felt suffocated until his body started to shiver. Luckily, Lycia was right next to him and noticed his frightened expression, and the girl immediately comforted him with her gentle voice.
Like magic, Davel's fear immediately disappeared and was replaced by a sense of security after hearing those words. Even so, he still closed his eyes to obey the girl's words as he could feel how the strange large box continue moving downward.
For some reason, Davel couldn't say no to every word Lycia said. It was indeed a weird thing for him because he was the Werewolf King, and instead of listening to other people's orders, he was the one who used to rule over his people.
"I brought my own car when I went to the hospital, so I will drive my car to the Claytons' residence."
Lycia's soft voice greeted his ears, breaking his thoughts as he focused on the girl again. Without realizing it, they had stopped walking near an unknown object which made Davel frown.
When he cast his gaze around, he found that there were many things similar to the ones next to him. 'What kind of thing is it?' He wondered as he continued to stare at the black object not far from where he was standing.
It was quite large and had several glasses on it. The surface of the object glistened, and Davel could even see his reflection on it.
His eyes, nose, and lips were still the same, but his white hair was short. Now, he felt bad for losing his long hair which always looked magnificent under the sun.
"Oh? But I thought you'd join us in the car, Dr. Lycia."
Davel could hear another person talking, and when he turned his head to the other side, he could see that it was his 'mother' who had just spoken to the young doctor.
"It would be very cramped if I joined you in the car, Madame," Lycia replied as she glanced at the other man standing on the other side of the black object that Davel didn't know about. "There's a driver too, and the sedan would be cramped if there were five people in it. I'll just follow your car from behind, Madame. You don't have to worry."
People kept talking about 'cars,' but Davel had no idea what a car was.
"Dr. Henderson is very wise," commented the older man who was none other than Davel Clayton's father. "Now we'd better go so Davel can rest at home soon."
Davel could see Lycia smiling at his 'father,' and his 'father' immediately opened the car door for his 'mother' before turning to look at him.
"Do you want to sit in the front or the back, Davel?" The man questioned his 'son.'
"You want me to sit down?" Davel confusedly asked back instead of answering.
He could see his 'mother' had entered the black object, and he was confused that humans could even enter that thing. 'Is this black thing like a carriage?' He wondered again as he frowned at the black thing.
"Ah! I don't think Mr. Davel knows what car it is, sir," Lycia suddenly interrupted while looking at the young man. "It's a car, and we can sit in it before it takes us somewhere."
Still frowning at the thing called 'car,' Davel asked again, "It can take us somewhere? Will it be pulled by some horses?"
Davel thought it was like a carriage in his world, and it was pulled by several horses before it could move to go somewhere.
He was quite confident in his opinion, but he could suddenly hear laughter. When he turned his head, he could see his 'father' laughing at him, and when he glanced sideways, he could also see Lycia trying to hold back her laughter.
'What's so funny about a carriage pulled by several horses?' Davel thought as he looked unhappy with a deep frown on his forehead.
"Why do you suddenly look like someone who just came out of a cave, Davel?" The older man chuckled as he questioned his 'son.'
Davel was slightly offended by the insult, and he subconsciously glared at his 'father.'
Lycia seemed to be able to read the mood, and she immediately touched the young man's arm. "It does look like a carriage, but we don't need horses to pull this car. Now we can use the engine, so the horses can rest. Isn't that good?"
When his 'father' mocked him, Lycia explained to him without any hint of ridicule in her voice. She was so sincere and gentle, and Davel's irritation disappeared as soon as he saw the girl's smile.
"Alright. Now that Dr. Henderson has explained to you, you'd better get in the car, Davel," the older man spoke again as he prepared to get into the car, but his movements were stopped when he heard his 'son' reply to him.
"I don't want to get in the car."
