Chapter 3

An unknown sphere has appeared in space, nearly the size of the sun. Creating panic and fear among those on Planet Escar.

"Damn it... Where are they?" Grunted Okara as he looked around for the remaining escape pods. As he continued to search, the planet began to shake; Okara looked up to see the giant thing in the sky closing in on them. Slowly realizing what it was.

"A-A giant energy ball!"

Okara's eyes widened as he quickly locked his attention to finding a pod. Okara ran; still carrying Cassa. Suddenly the shaking planet began tearing itself apart. The ground split open, forcing Okara to jump over ditches, the atmosphere began getting humid. As the intense energy blast closed in even more.

"Where! Where damn it!"

Okara leaped over one more ditch before.

"Finally!"

Okara found a singular pod, quickly he rushed to open the hatch. As he placed Cassa in. He felt a hand grab his shoulder.

"Hey! What are you doing! That's mine! I found it first!" Said a terrified low class. As he pulled Okara back onto his butt. The low class began climbing into the pod, ignoring Cassa who's in his way. Okara quickly got up and reached for the pod, but was stopped by the ground, which pulled him away from the pod as it separated.

"No!" Okara screamed, as he watched the pod slowly ascending, however, the pod door was still open, Okara breathing heavily in anger as he tried to figure out what to do. However, the elite city began falling apart. Causing more vibration throughout the planet. Forcing Okara to keep his balance as he moved towards the ascending pod. Step by step, Okara looked down at the giant gap between him and the pod.

"If I don't..." Okara looked up at the pod which was still ascending slowly.

"I could fly, but I can't launch with this much shaking. So my only other option is to jump."

Okara stepped backward quickly, managing to somewhat keep his balance. As he took a deep breath, he exhaled and booked it. Okara jolted forward ignoring the vibration that shoots through his legs and body; as he comes up to the giant gap; he lifts his left leg and jumps pushing off his right. Instantly gets pulled down by gravity into the giant gap, the terrified low class watching from high up in the air.

"What a poor soul..." The terrified low class says as he pushes the button to close the pod door. However as the pod door slowly begins to close, the terrified low class felt a tap on his shoulder.

"Sorry!" Cassa says as she extends her legs outwards booting the low class out of the pod, to fall to his death. As she stops the pod door from closing. She looks out the pod door and screams for Okara.

"Okara! Where are you?!!"

At the call of her voice, Okara comes flying out of the giant gap and directly to Cassa and the pod. Just as Okara got close enough he held out his left hand and Cassa grabbed it. Pulling him into the pod.

"Quickly! Close the door!" Okara commands as he watches Cassa hit the button to close the pod door.

Slowly the pod door closes, while it begins nearing the giant blast, that is closing in on the planet. Okara begins steering the pod and swerves past the giant blast at the last second. As they break through into space's atmosphere they find themselves finally at peace.

"We aren't safe yet!" Okara exclaimed as he pushed the pod to max speed. However, it was too late as Escar's core was hit and the planet's explosion erupted throughout space. Causing a giant shockwave that shoves the pod. Damaging the systems and changing their location; to an unknown planet called, Earth. As the shaking stops and Okara gains control; Cassa and Okara finally breathe at the moment of peace at last.

"We made it..." Okara whispered.

"Escar... Is gone now... What are we going to do?..." Cassa asked sadly.

Okara looked at the pod's set location and notices the damage dealt to the pod.

"It seems since the pod took damage, we'll be heading to a planet known as Earth."

"Earth? What kind of a name is Earth?"

Okara begins examining the data for this planet.

"It's mostly made of water... Very unadvanced, and low power levels. It's perfect."

"What do you mean, perfect?" Cassa asked.

"It's perfect, it's safe, it's everything we need. We can start a new life here!"

Cassa also began examining the data on earth.

"This planet has beings known as... Humans? There are billions of them, whoa."

"Not only that. Take a look at this!" Okara points to an underlined sentence.

"This planet is thriving with resources, animals of many different species and uses, environments that vary depending on the world's temperature. Overall this planet will sell at a high price..."

"Wait does this mean, this planet was on an extraction list?" Asked Cassa grimly.

"Yeah... It was." Okara looked grimly at the list, till he continued scrolling for more information.

"Oh? What's that, Okara?"

Cassa pointed to another underlined sentence.

"Human's and Saiyan's are almost identical in racial structure. Therefore Saiyan's have the potential to use this planet as a hiding place. If Saiyan's are suspected to be living here, then planet extinction will be authorized."

"H-How could they..." Cassa whined.

"Those damn bastards... They got what they deserved."

Silence fills the pod as Okara continues looking through information.

"It says we'll be there in three hours." Okara looks to Cassa who's laying back against the pod's singular seat.

"Well let's try to get some rest, we want to be prepared for what this planet holds." Said Okara as he watched Cassa slowly drift off to sleep.

Okara slowly and quietly looks out the red pod window.

"Earth... Not a bad-sounding home."
