Chapter 19

Okara is taking a journey through his past to find his reason and carve out the darkness to become stronger and save Cassa from the evil clutches of Arako and Rose. Last we left off Okara finds himself standing before the last of the three doors with a little girl who wishes to keep her name unknown.

"Are you ready, Okara? For the last door."

"I am."

Okara and the little girl travel through the last of the three doors and for the last time Okara finds himself in a memory. We arrive on Escar for the last time. This time it was night and present Okara began looking around.

"I don't remember this memory."

"Just wait, it will all come back to you."

Okara looked around some more till he noticed a group of shadows hiding in an alleyway. They were in the elite sector of Escar and as Okara walked towards them the little girl stopped him.

"Okara, do you remember what I told you about carving out the darkness?"

"I guess, did you want me to find the bad things of each memory?"

"Yes, but that's not all. We have those carve out the darkness to prevent them from becoming evil and chaotic. However, some memories that those forget are usually a side they wish to keep locked away."

"What are you saying?"

The little girl watched one of the silhouettes make a move, as an elite couple walk past the alley they stood in. As the elite couple is stopped more of the shadows appear surrounding them. The elite woman is frightened as the male elite tries to protect her. But it was too much as they were pulled into the dark alley.

"What is this memory."

Present Okara walked closer to the scene and the little girl didn't try to stop him this time. As he got closer he watched as the male elite struggled against the group gripping their clothing and fighting back. As he grabbed at the one holding him down he pulled off the hood revealing a terrifying image to Okara.

"W-What... Wait."

Present Okara watched as the elite smirked.

"I've seen your face! You're done f-"

The unmasked person points a finger at the male elite and finger a tiny finger blast through his head. Killing the elite, the other group members finished off the female and all of them began scavenging their bodies for money and other accessories. As they found what they could the unmasked stood and spoke to the others.

"Hide the bodies and separate. Lay low for a while." He whispered as everyone scattered and two of them took the bodies with them.

"I remember now..."

The unmasked figure turned revealing Cassa's face to present Okara.

"I-I remember Cassa telling me about this. This is what put a dent in our relationship."

Cassa looked around the corners to check for anyone and saw no one and headed home quickly.

"Okara, do you finally understand. This is the darkness inside you. Even if it wasn't your actions. You suffered the consequence from it."

"I did... I thought that anything bad happened to us. Was because of her, and her past. But I know... It wasn't at all."

The little girl observes Okara.

"I realized it was because of Planet Escar! It's stupid segregations, and rules. That was the reason we were so strung up on that. We did what we had to survive, and I finally realize that!"

The little girl continued watching Okara as he looked at her. Then out of nowhere, she smiled.

"Congratulations, Okara! You have passed."

"Passed what?"

"The Reason and Darkness Trial! Now awake and finish your task!"

The room around Okara whitened and the little girl vanished. Slowly Okara's eyes began to open and he found himself surrounded by floating rocks, and his green aura calmly waving around his body. Okara slowly stood keeping his aura and the rocks accounted for. As he looked at the boulder it slow began morphing into him.

"It was because of her! We lived hell because of her actions! Her mistakes!" The illusions of Okara spat.

"No..."

Okara slowly breathed in through his nose; simultaneously as he pulled back his right arm. His arm encased around it like a shell.

"It is her fault!!"

The illusion charged forward at Okara and in a spontaneous reaction. Okara dashed forward simultaneously exhaling as he extended his right arm, dashing through the illusion. As Okara spun and found himself on the other side of the boulder, his aura calmed. He finds the boulder split into two.

"The task is done, Okara. You did well."

"Thank you... Uh."

"Oh come on. You still don't know who I am?"

"No, sorry."

"Well, that time will come. But I presume you are on a time limit are you not?"

Okara's eyes widen as he looked up. The night sky was dark blue. As dusk was coming fast.

The little girl vanished with her last words to Okara.

"Fly fast, Okara."

Okara rushed past his split boulder and leap forwards instantly bursting forward into flight. As he flew down the hill and flatten himself out horizontally, he quickly reached the bottom of the hill. Okara flew fast; dragging branches and leaves with his force. Trees and bushes whistling as he zoomed past them. The sun was almost up for dusk as the dark blue sky had a very tiny tint of orange. Okara could see the end and instantly in one last burst. He shot out of the forest and somersaulted forward. Landing on his feet as he slid against the truck's front bumper. Barely touching it.

"I-I did it," Okara said happily as he breathed heavily in relief.

"Indeed you did young one. You pushed your luck too."

"W-What time is it?"

"It is six in the morning. You got here within three seconds left."

"W-Wow. Ha, ha..."

"You must be exhausted. Let's get you rested up and we'll get started with your official training when you wake up."

"Yes, sir..."

Okara slowly followed Kal into the hut as the sun rose. Okara quickly fell asleep leaving him with one task complete. However, the next trials will not be as easy. Will Okara be able to continue his training and be able to save Cassa! Find out next time! On Fate of Two Saiyan's!
