Chapter 39

Cassa and Okara stand side by side, Okara In Super Saiyan and Cassa still in base. They're about to face Crimson who is ready to push them to new heights, as he stands before them in Super Saiyan.

"I hope you're ready! Because this is only stage one!" Crimson says as he charges towards Okara and Cassa. They prepare and instantly react by charging at Crimson, as Cassa gets ahead of Okara. She instantly clashes with Crimson, this time Crimson's speed was well beyond hers and she was barely able to keep up. Swiftly Crimson delivers multiple attacks from different angles, Cassa's guard being chipped greatly as every one of his attacks landed. Before Crimson could send Cassa flying, Okara appears from above with a sledgehammer attack. Crimson quickly reacts by raising his left forearm and instantly guarding against the blow. The blow sends Crimson's feet into the ground. All actions halted, to admire each other for a split second. Crimson looks up at Okara with a smirk, Okara responding with one back at him and Cassa gritting her teeth for being ignored. Then right back into it they go as Cassa strikes first once again. This time as she struck with her right fist, Crimson dodged to his right, her fist missing him. Leaving her wide open long enough for his fast and brutal roundhouse kick. As his right shin connects with Cassa's stomach, he launches her, forcing her to leave his foot and fly away. Within seconds Okara appears behind her and catches her. Taking a moment of feet dragging to fully stop her.

"Are you alright, Cassa?"

"Dummy... You should be more worried about yourself."

Cassa had blood leaking from her mouth as she spoke.

"Crimson, I think you hit her too-."

"Of course I did! Okara this is serious, we can't pull punches no matter how badly we want to. Remember Arako won't pull anything, but your heart out of your damn chest."

"I-I'm alright Okara... I can still fight!"

Okara gently set Cassa down, but as she was fully put on her feet she stumbled forward a bit before stomping to balance herself.

"Again... Hit me like that! Again!"

"See, Okara she fully understands the situation! Now stop holding back and fight me!"

Okara looked worried at Cassa for a moment. Scared of what might happen if this continues. But he shrugged it off and prepared to give it his all.

"Alright... I'll fight like I mean to kill!"

"That's exactly what we're here for! Now! COME!"

Cassa takes a deep breath and instantly charges towards Crimson with Okara following pursuit behind her. As she reaches Crimson they resume the brawl. Rapidly attacking and dodging each other's attacks. Something instantly popped into Crimson's mind.

"Where's Okara!" He thought as he continued swiftly moving.

Okara was behind Cassa while they were charging towards Crimson, however midway he decided to teleport and as Crimson finally realized this he was ambushed. Okara appeared behind him and drove his elbow vertically downwards into Crimson's shoulder. Throwing him off balance, Getting him caught in Cassa's rapid barrage. She drove twenty to forty punches into Crimson's body; followed by a rapid barrage of shin kicks to his sides; lastly, as Cassa continued her barrage. She quickly appeared above Crimson grabbing his head and tossing him up into the air. As he flips multiple times, ascending into the sky, he instantly gets caught by Okara. Who flew in with his right arm pulled back, then threw it forward, colliding against Crimson's left side as he pulls his arm back, he drives a knee into Crimson's gut. Forcing him to lean forward. Allowing Okara to sledgehammer him downwards, causing Crimson to barrel straight down into the ground. Okara descends slowly as Cassa approaches Crimson's body.

"How'd you like that! Crimson." Cassa gloats as Okara lands beside her.

"It was splendid! I must say."

Cassa and Okara turn to see Crimson behind them clapping with a smile.

"You guys really showed him whose boss."

As Okara looks back where Crimson was, he realizes nothing was there.

"What was that?!"

"Oh? You don't know that technique, that's right!"

"I thought we were really fighting you! How did you get out of it!" Cassa screamed in confusion.

"Well after the whole fighting clones thing. I thought maybe I could come up with a technique that would mimic it a bit. I call it Scarlett Cover."

"Scarlett-."

"Cover?!"

Okara and Cassa were confused about how it worked.

"Let's see the best way I could explain it is. Whenever I'm getting beaten by two people or more. I can easily create a clone of myself thanks to my speed. So when you launched me into the air it gave me time to free myself from the rest of the attack."

Okara grit his teeth at the realization.

"That's why it felt like I was hitting almost nothing."

"Exactly!"

"I must say that's a neat trick, Crimson. I'm impressed you were able to come up with such a thing."

"Why thank you, Cassa. Oh, I must say your barrage left a bit of bruise on my chest. So good job to you."

Cassa's expression dropped from a smile to disappointed annoyance.

"This bitch really just said I bruised him, after all, I did." Cassa whispered to herself as she continued looking at Crimson.

Suddenly Crimson burst out laughing.

"You gotta see the look on your face. Oh, man!"

Crimson put his right hand on his stomach as he laughed harder.

"W-Why are you laughing?!"

Crimson continued laughing, however, Okara reacted quickly. Within seconds Cassa slowly pieced together what was happening. Okara had stuck out his left leg, crossing it with Crimson's left leg as well. Apparently, the laughing Crimson was one of his Scarlett Covers and he had teleported behind them to attack Cassa head-on. However, Okara saw right through it.

"Good! Okara, you're doing well!"

Crimson pulled back and instantly Cassa turned to face him again.

"That stupid trick again!"

"Cassa, Okara you've both shown you can handle my Super Saiyan well enough. So it's time I kick it up to the next level."

"Next... Level?!"

"That's right, you two are about to witness! A Super Saiyan Two!"

Suddenly Crimson's hair spiked even more; a pair of fangs slowly formed, and lastly, electricity sparked around his aura and body.
