Mr. CEO's Grandpa Scolded Me

Evelyn stared at the frozen lake. Her mind was contaminated with thoughts when she felt the push on her back. It was with a lot of strength, and it got her to harshly fall on the ice before sliding.

And that's when she felt the ice beneath her cracking. This got her eyes to widen, and before she could manage to get herself off of there, she submerged in the ice-cold water.

She heard a scream overpowering hers and did recall seeing Annalise's face last before falling into the water. Was Annalise finally scared after doing something to her?

She shouldn't be. But if Evelyn were to be dead, that's something even Annalise can't escape from. Then again, Evelyn wouldn't know. The power of money was boundless.

Her entire body was freezing, and she had a hard time breathing. It felt terrible, and she wanted to get away from there. She wanted to get out and started to struggle, panicking in the process.

That's when, people started to gather, and the rescue came.

Evelyn, who was slipping between a conscious and unconscious, state felt someone lift her up before blacking out.

And when she opened her eyes next, she was in the hospital room. The scent of the disinfectants permeated into her nose. She was greeted with the white walls and felt terrible.

A soft groan left her mouth.

"Evelyn Dear, how are you feeling?"

Hearing that gentle voice just after waking up made her want to tear up and pour out about all of her grievances. She nearly lost her life this time. It was scary. She didn't wish to live like this.

"Not too bad." Evelyn's voice came out to be hoarse.

Grandpa Parker then called for the doctor who came over and checked her state. After all that, she began to feel much more awake even though the pounding forehead made her wish she wasn't.

Once the doctor was gone, Grandpa Parker stared at her with dissatisfaction in his eyes and scolded, "You, Young Lady, how could you be so careless? How could you walk on a frozen lake? Are you a child? Don't you know to stay away from it?"

Evelyn badly wished to cry and say that she had no suicidal thoughts. It was all Annalise's fault. She had been pushed. However, as always, the voice didn't leave her throat.

In the end, she mumbled a soft apology, and her grievances were decreased due to the concern she could feel in the old man's voice.

At that time, she really felt, 'Ah! Someone will be sad if I were to die.'

That's why, Evelyn decided to give it a few more days. Once she was more familiar with Grandpa Parker, she will ask him to transfer her school. He didn't need to know about the bullying. It would be fine as long as she got away from the campus.

Evelyn's time with her grandpa was interrupted when the door open, and Annalise's head popped in. There were tears in her eyes. Those eyes of hers were swollen as though she had been crying for a long time.

"May I come in?" she asked softly.

Grandpa Parker didn't seem much pleased to see her here. Nevertheless, he nodded, and Annalise walked over to Evelyn. Evelyn wasn't shocked by the act out on by Annalise.

She always felt Annalise was training herself to be an actress. In fact, if she debuted, she would be a talented one. Too bad, she used it for wrong cause.

"Sister, it's great that you are doing alright. I was so scared back then. I almost thought something would have happened to you. I am just so glad that you are safe and sound. This is all my fault. I should have not supported your reckless idea. I almost had a heart attack back there."
