On the first Full moon of March, when the moon is at its highest peak, all unmated shifters must run into the woods from the Maverick and Sweetwater packs in search of a mate. Shifters chase down their fated mate and claim them under the moonlight.

For Asa, the run is the day he has been looking forward to all of his life. He is excited to be mated until an unfortunate encounter at the edge of the woods pushes him into peril. His life has turned upside down as he faces something he never thought he would, an injury and two shifters who want him. 

Chris didn't look forward to the run. As his last run, thankfully, he could finally melt back into obscurity. He just wants to make sure he gets out of the woods, unattached, and gets on with his life until he catches a light Lilac scent. Suddenly, he finds himself falling head over heels for his mate. His only goal now is to protect Asa, no matter what.

THE CHASE

Asa knocked on Skye’s door, Felicity by his side. 


It felt like it had before, the three of them able to hang out again. The closeness that Asa felt between the three of them hadn’t diminished as he thought they would once they came of age.


They all had mates, and Asa now led the pack with Chris. 


Becoming the pack Luna had changed a lot of things about Asa’s life, but it hadn’t changed one thing. 


It hadn’t changed Asa’s excitement for a celebration of the Moon Goddess.


The three of them would use the day to plan the perfect Moon Goddess ball. 


So much rode on them getting this right. 


The pack, no doubt fatigued from all of the trouble they endured recently, buzzed at the prospect of  the ball. They hadn't had a ball since Asa was ten.


Asa helped Chris propose it to the town, and everyone welcomed the suggestion. 


A Moon Goddess Ball seemed like just the thing to reset the pack.
