On the first Full moon of March, when the moon is at its highest peak, all unmated shifters must run into the woods from the Maverick and Sweetwater packs in search of a mate. Shifters chase down their fated mate and claim them under the moonlight.

For Asa, the run is the day he has been looking forward to all of his life. He is excited to be mated until an unfortunate encounter at the edge of the woods pushes him into peril. His life has turned upside down as he faces something he never thought he would, an injury and two shifters who want him. 

Chris didn't look forward to the run. As his last run, thankfully, he could finally melt back into obscurity. He just wants to make sure he gets out of the woods, unattached, and gets on with his life until he catches a light Lilac scent. Suddenly, he finds himself falling head over heels for his mate. His only goal now is to protect Asa, no matter what.

THE CHASE

Asa took a deep breath as he stood in his bathroom, staring himself down in the mirror. 


He had on another purple ensemble, this time something well tailored and form fitting. 


The soft fabric clung to his body, making him seem more mature than before. 


His hair fell down to his shoulders like a dark curtain. Two pieces of his hair circled his head like a crown, lilac pins intertwined with them. 


Each pin glittered in the light, sparkling like a halo.


He couldn’t help but think that he looked divine.


It felt like an ensemble befitting of the Moon Goddess herself.


“You look astounding,’ Chris said from behind him and he turned to look at his mate. 


His curls sat artfully jostled on top of his head, the dark ringlets gleaming in the light.


The white dress shirt that he wore looked nearly see through, the deep cut of the shirt exposing his chest and the golden skin set free underneath.
