Oksana
Almost an entire day had passed since their conversation and the damn frustratingly stubborn man still hadn’t said another word to her. She didn’t understand why either. They had been having an engaging conversation! She had learned more about him in that short period than she had in the entire time she had known him. For the first time, he wasn’t a complete a*s and had actually complimented her!
She hadn’t wanted to admit how intrigued she had been by his story, but she couldn’t help it. He had this way of telling a story. He had the perfect timing for dramatic pauses, he never rushed through his descriptions and didn’t mind answering any question she had.
Growing up she had always been fascinated by stories in her family’s libraries that dealt with tales of armies clashing, and of heroes in faraway lands. Her parents hadn’t approved of her interest and had subsequently collected all the books related to such topics and kept them in their private library.
