To A Bridal Shop

"Narcissus? Isn't that a very luxurious brand of wedding gowns? Are you sure that you want me to wear something that extravagant?" Cassandra asked Greyson in a hysterical manner, looking at him in disbelief.

Narcissus was the leading bridal shop in the nation and she knew how expensive their dresses were. Even though she knew that Greyson was a rich man, she still didn't want him to spend his money just for a wedding gown for a fake wedding.

"Just trust me with this. I know that you will like it there once we get there." Greyson winked at Cassandra then he turned his gaze to the road.

"Oh, dear. Let's see what we can do then." She replied with a deep sigh, surrendering to the man beside her.

Greyson continued to drive while she was just looking outside the window. No one dared to speak up after the discussion and it suddenly became awkward between the two of them.

She didn't know if what he suggested was just fine or not. Since Cassandra was just from an average class in society, she wanted to be practical about the wedding that was supposed to happen. Having an opportunity to wear a dress from Narcissus was a big honor to her, but she felt like she didn't deserve it because it was just a fake marriage.

"Here we are, Cassandra. Tell me whenever you're ready. Milly is waiting for us inside the shop." Greyson told her in a casual way.

Cassandra gulped looking at the lavish store in front of them. Even its exterior was sparkling and pleasing to the eye, what more if they would finally go inside the shop?

"Hey, Cassy? Should we go now?" He called out to her when he noticed that Cassandra was spacing out.

Her attention was caught in an instant, then she looked at Greyson. "O-Oh, yes. I think we should go now… and that's Cassandra for you. We're not friends yet, so don't act so close to me." She said in a prickly manner, and when she was about to open the door, Greyson stopped her and rushed to go outside to open the door for her.

"Well, you don't have to do that every time I have to go out. I have hands and I can open it by myself." She continued to say to him as she rolled her eyes upward.

Greyson closed the door and scoffed at her. "Why are you so ill-tempered? Are you on your period?" He asked out of the blue to tease her as a wide grin was shown on his face

Cassandra immediately looked at him, squinting her eyes as if she was warning him. "How dare you say that. Don't you have manners? I thought you were raised to be a gentleman. Tsk." She replied with a slightly raised voice, but he only shrugged his shoulders and looked at her innocently.

"Good day, Greyson! It's great to see you again." As soon as they stepped into the shop, a tall fair lady dressed in black pants, a white shirt with frill sleeves, and a stiletto with 6-inch heels approached them. "And look at you, you're with your fiancee. What a beautiful lady she is. Certainly worthy of your love, Greyson." She was so ecstatic as her gaze shifted to Cassandra who was looking so shy and timid.

Without noticing it, Cassandra's cheeks were starting to feel hot. She got a tingling sensation from her praise, but it was immediately cut off when Greyson butted in.

"Hah, don't be ridiculous. Who's beautiful? Her? I doubt it." He said, looking at Cassandra with a playful smile while she was giving him a death glare already.

The woman looked too confused about what he just said. "What do you mean?" She asked with her forehead creased.

Greyson laughed uneasily, then sneered, waving his hand. "I didn't intend it in a bad way. Well, what I mean is that it is too shallow to characterize my fiancee as just beautiful." He quickly grabbed Cassandra's waist and drew her closer to her.

His stare was too engrossing for her, and she felt as if she were running out of oxygen. As they gazed at each other intently, it was as if he was snatching it from her.

"She's beyond that, Milly. She's lovely; she's honest, simple yet elegant, and she has a great sense of humor. Is that correct, babe? " A subtle curve emerged on his lips, and he felt as if everything was moving at a snail's pace. Except for the lady in his arms, he couldn't see anyone, which he couldn't explain.

Cassandra didn't know how she should respond to him because she wasn't sure if he was only acting around or not, though it had a high chance that he really was.

"Ahem, pardon me for getting into your business, Greyson, but I think we should get on with the dress picking. Things are getting a little sweeter out here." Milly, the owner of the Narcissus told him with a sly smirk on her lips.

Milly and Greyson had known each other for a long time, and whenever he urgently needed a new suit for a formal function, he would always go to her shop. She was a fantastic designer and seamstress; her creations were a perfect match for highly respected individuals due to the high quality of the end result. Because of that, Greyson trusted her the most when it came to suits and dresses.

"I have come prepared for your arrival. Look here, these are the dresses that I want Cassandra to wear." Milly walked into the middle of the shop where there are white expensive couches and dresses lined up for her to try. "Greyson sent me your photos along with your vital statistics, so I already know which dresses would fit you perfectly. Oh, what a lovely bride, I must say." She added, acting as if she was daydreaming of her prince charming.

An instant blush was seen on Cassandra's face when she thought of what Milly had said. "What did you say? He sent you my photos?" She asked in a bashful manner, then she looked at Greyson who was still looking so unbothered.
