Two is definitely not better

Did you ever fall in love? Well, to be specific there are a lot of kinds we can describe love. The lustful, where you only desired the person the way they make you feel sensually hot. The infatuation, where most teenage girls just fell in love with the person they admired might it be it was her or his cup of tea. True love, is where people find each other in the most unexpected way, and yet they stayed together despite the flaws they had witnessed in each other's company. Or the one-sided love where you truly love the person and did everything for them yet they didn't love you the way they expected it to be. I mean we can't expect them to like us back for the reason we love them. It is just hard to love honestly. In the end, love is complicated.

"Look, who's here." I intently continued my reading, I am currently in the cafeteria in our school right now. And yes, I am definitely alone without anyone beside me. I am completely aware of how the people were staring and gossiping at me at the moment. Their annoying high-pitched voices just resonate around my ears.

"She is the sister, right? They surely don't look like it. Can you see the way she is dressing like a loser? And here I thought they are one of the richest families in the country." I instantly looked for the person who stated that. There were a couple of girls who were staring directly at me with disgust on their faces. Pitiful. How are they so busy with others' life yet they cant be busied with their own. I fixed my eyes in their direction, I mean they are talking about me, right? So I should have the right to hear it personally, I am letting them go easily compared to talking behind my back.

First of all, I am totally not a loser. Yes, I admit that I dress differently from most teenagers nowadays, where mostly it is almost like they are showing skin that is not supposed to be shown; not super school-friendly right? Second, I am the sister of the famous Erisa, that reason itself is a total disaster for me to be compared to her endlessly. To that I can say it definitely not like this in the past, it all started with my sister.

Im freaking late.

I hurried to our classroom, not caring if I look insane with my rigged outfit. I've already heard the bell, which surely puts me to danger right now. I skipped breakfast this morning to hurry and yet here I am fighting for my class and food deprivation. Why the hell my alarm clock didn't do its work. I had no choice but to run faster. The squeaking sounds of my shoes were heard. I was definitely the only one in the hallway running endlessly.

Here I am at the door, huffing loudly catching my breath on my morning marathon. Slowly I opened the door, and all eyes were expectedly on me. Great! The first day of school and I'm late.

"You sure you still need my class, honey? You seemed to be mindful of your class hours." the professor, who was suddenly beside me said. My fellow students were already gossiping about me and I might know why.

"Uhm, I apologize sir. This would be my last day being late." I replied shaking my head. "My alarm clock didn't do well."

I don't know why, but out of all our people in the house, no one bothered to wake me up! That meant they never intended to do anything about me being one of their bosses. No shit. On the other hand, my parents were out of town so no one was available for me to get woken up. Sigh.

"I'll let you pass through. Are you the new student right?" the female professor asked me while her eyebrows were raised.

"Yes, I am," I replied.

"Come to the front and introduce yourself," she demanded. Another introduction huh? What did I expect.

"Hush! Okay, everyone, I am sure you have done all of your individual vacations and yet this is another year for us new fellows to get to know each other well! And now we will start from our first-day latecomer." the sea of students directed their eyes at me. They were laughing while looking at my head-to-toe proportions. Tsk. Another judge people, I unconsciously fix led my hair and handy ironed my clothes. I know I look terrible right now.

"Hello everyone, I am Elisa Sy." I stood there for a moment. Everyone we're quiet as if they were observing me.

"Sy?" a girl spoke and raised her hand as she questioned. What wasn't clear about what I said? "Uh yes?" I was confused at answering it back.

"Then what is your relation to Erisa? Don't tell me you are relatives you totally looked different." she mocked. I saw everyone's shoulders shaking in quiet laughter. The professor was silent as well, her eyes were telling me she was curious too.

"Yes, and what if I am?" I said still showing my unbothered face. "Did you hear what you have said? How dare you entangled yourself with them?" she scoffingly raised her voice. Like what the hell is it kind of like a big deal? Like hell, I would explain myself.

"Yes I am sure part of them," I said nothing anymore and started walking to already sit on a nearby vacant chair. Countless murmurs were heard. Everyone's eyes were focused on me even after sitting.

"Let's start our discussion." Finally! The professor had opened her mouth. In the most needed situation, she kept mum, what a curious cat. Tsk.

The discussion continued and everyone was now focused on something else. Even after everything, I keep feeling uncomfortable, they were a pair of eyes that was intently staring at me and I definitely know who that is; the girl earlier. Who is she? And why is she curious about me though?

I rolled my eyes in the air as she was not done with me yet. I hag low my head and sighed. Is it wrong form to be here! I mean all through my life I haven't done being in school. Compared to Erisa I was the weak girl, my heart surely is weaker than hers. And that is the main reason why my parents both decided to avoid me in crowded places. I was homeschooled all through the years not until I began to take jealousy on how Erisa's school day happened. I mean all of those stories were definitely fun to hear! It was mainly my twin sister who gave me the courage to beg my parents to let me outside and experience a normal life. It was really hard at first though, they were stone-headed about it saying this and that, all the negative reasonings to forbid me with everything. But I didn't give up and that leads me here right now. Surely I have to call them later for my updates and everything they were just extremely struct about me.

The bell rang, and it was already lunch time.

My face lit up instantly. At last! I'm hung as hell. Not to mention my growling tummies are already loud for anyone to hear. I started packing my bag and things and continued to walk through the exit.

"Wait, we're not done yet. Uh uh." the girl earlier blocked the way as she was cheering her bubblegum. Her other friends were present too. What did I expect?

"What now? I am done with the introductions and I am hungry right now. Let me pass through." I tiredly said, when will this end again?

"We have never heard of you Elisa. As we all know the Sy is one of the wealthiest family here so there life will be known to most of the people. But how come we don't know you?" she asked as she was grabbing for a price of my hair and started to play around with it."

"I told you already I am part of them. It's not my obligation to tell our family stories to you." I bravely said as I take off my hair towards her dirty hands. She just used that playing with her bubblegum! Eww.

"What are you all doing?" the familiar soft voice butted in. Finally! Gasped and shocked faces were seen inside the circle I am in right now. Like who wouldn't? Erica Sy is standing tall with her perfect hair and makeup, emphasizing her natural features. She was shining!

"E-erisa." the girl who was bothering me stuttered.

"What are you doing with my sister Brianna? she replied. "Sister!? B-but how come? I mean I've know you for years and there were no sisters around you." she reasoned out.

"Blah blah blah. You know how I hate mumbling Briana. And our family matters don't involve you so why would I explain myself? Let her go at once." Erica said. Her face was now slowly showing anger. She must be hungry, I know her so well. Benefits of being a twin, huh?

The people surrounding me earlier automatically parted. And that was the chance for Erisa to grab me. "Come on now I am famished." she smiled at me as she was fixing my hair.

"Why are those people so curious about me though? I literally am just a newbie and everyone was so eager to prove to me that I am not a Sy.

"Well, you know how business works. Everyone will drag you down. Just don't mind them." she said as she was dragging me now to the cafeteria.

I let her reason pass through. I trust my sister after all.

Suddenly, I unconsciously looked back and saw Brianna and her troops looking at me angrily. Angrily? Why do they do that? Questions were left through my mind running.
