I got back home feeling way too exhausted beyond the patient. Olivia had insisted I come back home while she had the time off for two weeks to stay with her boys.
Thankfully, his injured son wasn't too hurt beyond what the surgery couldn't fix and would soon be discharged in the next one or two weeks.
I pulled up in the parking lot only to see Richard's car. In some type of way, I wasn't expecting he'd be home this early even though it was a few minutes past 10. He had always made sure to be late and always stay out late till forever and I was starting to get used to that.
I got down from the car and walked into the house, taking my steps slowly, not intentionally because I didn't want to make a sound but because I was too tired that lifting my legs feels like a huge task to carry out.
